Cause the font is too round and it hasn't changed since the championship was invented, apart from some colour accents here and there.
Most other major series have a more squared look to them, which I think fits well. The WEC logo is so out of place compared to everything else.

Did you bring a radio? Look around for signs at the track to see if they broadcast the play by play on FM radio. You might also be able to use your phone. You can use regular earbuds to listen under ear muffs, but without the ear muffs you can't hear anything. Bring a radio is the single greatest thing I have done for attending races.
If anyone know the radio stations for track broadcasts, post em.

Couldn't seem to find any for sale at the circuit but I'll try to find some at the mall before I head down tomorrow
Two separate 1 hour long sessions for today is one thing but I don't think it'll be smart of me to rawdog it for 3 hours straight tomorrow. The Huracans, GR86s, BRZ and LC500 are the most painful ones, the rest are relatively ok
>>149446435
Nope. I honestly don't think they're broadcasting anything via FM radio, but I can't check either since I've not brought a pair of earphones or headphones. They're not playing anything over the loudspeakers either so to be honest I've not got much of a clue what's going on at any one point during the session
Either now that I think of it, there seemed to be a couple of Nip blokes walking around with headphones or radios of some sort, but I can't remember for sure
The TVs around the circuit are a bit too small even for the ones opposite the main grandstand and the graphics are difficult to make out

Hello, fren!
From my phone search all the way from America, it looks some there is town to the south that has two places.

I remember being at the Singapore GP in 22 and the humidity and steam from the ground was just insane when everything was drying up after the rain
Going to my first proper circuit race has exposed a few things for future trips. Earplugs or headphones for one, a poncho would be handy now that I'm looking at your picture, possibly a radio and some sunscreen because damn the heat was intense yesterday

Also, these were what I observed from Day 1 regarding this event
>Pros
Relatively easy to get to, entry was pretty straightforward and the layout of the place was simple
Lots of food and drinks and cheap too
Great viewing and photography spots especially the tower at the hairpin
Crowd was made up of genuine motorsports fans which made for great vibes with many nips even flying in from Japan. In contrast to the crowd for the GP in Singapore which was mostly comprised of casuals
Tickets were really cheap relative to F1
>Cons
Admission to the Pit Walk was a bit messy
No commentary playing over the speakers on the circuit
TVs and big screens were pretty tiny so it was hard to follow what was going on
Little in the way of team merch, but I can't blame the organisers but rather the teams for not setting up booths here

>Earplugs or headphones
>poncho (always in the backpack)
>radio
>sunscreen
That's a pretty damn good list to start with.
>Lots of food and drinks and cheap too
Great! Every event in America that stuff is really expensive.
>Crowd was made up of genuine motorsports fans
Yeah, sports car racing brings out the real ones. Everyone is super stoked to be around people who are interested in sports car racing. (No one watches racing in real life.)
>Tickets were really cheap relative to F1
That's good. What was the USD equivalent?
NASCAR Cup and IndyCar are about $150 for one day and Petit le Mans is about $175 for the entire event (Thursday-Saturday)
>Admission to the Pit Walk was a bit messy
At Petit, it's a full on scrum these days.
>No commentary playing over the speakers on the circuit
Weird, hopefully they will have something for the race.
>TVs and big screens were pretty tiny so it was hard to follow what was going on
Even the mega screen at Bristol is kind of small. Small bird watching binoculars help.
>Little in the way of team merch
Odd, I figured the nips would bring a ton of stuff to punt.

>The cap is a result of the number of pit garages at Sepang: the track has 30 garages, with the GT500 teams getting one garage per car and the GT300 teams, including the two wildcards, being allocated three-quarters of a garage each.

>Series such as the Asian Le Mans Series, which had 42 cars on the grid at Sepang, get around this restriction by requiring some two-car teams to use a single garage.

>SUPER GT hosted 39 cars on its most recent visit to Sepang in 2013, but the GTA spokesperson explained that accommodating such a high number is now impossible because of the expansion of equipment in GT500 means a full garage is required per car.

Sugo might say it has 45 stalls but they are the size of a shed. Super GT doing some half assed setup where they use multiple times the space of a normal event for a fly away is not the track's fault.

In simple terms we are talking about using 285m worth of pit lane for 35 cars vs only 281m for 43 cars, but Sepang's garages are also nearly 4x as deep front to back.

That depends where you are and how far you are willing to travel.
North
Watkins Glen, Lime Rock Park, Virginia International Raceway.
South
Road Atlanta, Sebring, Daytona 24 hours
Find a series that stops at one of these tracks and you'll have a good time. In my experience, IMSA is the most fun and IndyCar is a close second, but NASCAR, Trans-Am and SRO are all great, too.
Also, just look for whatever is close to you, even if it's a small oval or drag strip, it's still a fun time. I wouldn't drive 5 hours and pay $100 to see the cars at my local track, but 20 minutes and $10 is totally worth it.
