So … against whom does everyone play? Shouldn’t there be some parity? It can’t be a fair comparison unless everyone plays the same opponents, with the same amount. So if you have 32 teams in the league, you‘d kind of expect everyone to have 31x2 or maybe 31x3 games. Or maybe 31x2 + some additional division stuff.
How do they get to 82 and now 84?
And as a Yuropeon, I don’t get it anyway: more than 80 games to qualify for the actual tournament. Win the regular season and you get a handshake, wow. Nobody cares. Half the teams qualify for the playoffs, and the playoffs are the only thing people care about. It doesn’t make sense

Any league where every team does not face everyother team the same amount of times is invalid. NA sports are fucked from the very start
