How does Worst Korea cope with Japan having a far more developed football ecosystem? And why is that even the case? Red Pill Me

Anime unironically helped Japan to develop their football. Also, Zico.

Japan's league is healthier but South Korean are generally better at football imo. It's touched upon in Blue Lock but I realize Japan never really produce star player in similar quantity to Korea. Well, the anime is pretty cringe so the reasoning for that issue in there is dumb to me and Korean culture is somewhat similar to them so it's just untrue.

Having a failed world cup run is a diamond dozen, Germany has probably had many of those over the 100 years of the world cup. Getting destroyed 7-1 in a semifinal on your home soil is one of the worst humiliations in any sport, in general.

Germany never dropped out in the group stage before 2018. The exception is 1938, which was a pure KO tournament - Germany were considered one of the favorites since they had finished third in 1934 and had annexed Austria, the fourth-placed team of 1938. But the team chemistry was poor, so they ended up losing the very first game against Switzerland (it actually was the second game, they tied and a tie meant a repeat) and were out
Apart from that, Germany's worst runs probably were 1962, 1994 and 1998 - quarterfinals
So 2018 really was a huge shame

Sweden was definitely within our capability to beat at the time. We beat Germany and South Korea and then our players did the classic we don't need to try because we beat the harder opponent (Germany) and then Sweden took advantage of it. It should have been another Mexico vs Croatia 2014 but nope our players decided to fall asleep. Now if that match happened today Sweden would probably beat us 4-0

No. We have some good offensive players on paper right now, but we didn't even qualify for the 2024 euros. We did okay in League C of the nations league (means nothing) and haven't played any world cup qualifiers yet. Sweden-Mexico today would be a toss up.

Japan have more than double their population, and yet despite that and Korea being much poorer until very recently they were the best team in Asia.
In recent times, since J1 league developed Japan have got a lot better, but I'd still say Korea have developed better players overall. Who's even the best Japanese player of all time? Keisuke Honda? South Korea have Son Heung-min and Cha Bum-kun
