>>149470917Honda are already a joke even considering this fraud, he's only after a big payout as he knows he's shit and rushed into a deal with Aprilia out of anger for Ducati rightfully rejecting him.
Honda have no real intention of getting back to the top and just want a champion name in the team to sell bikes to sea monkeys.

After the SuperGT round last night itโs got me thinking miku should be doing better than 45th. Nob is 54 and Kataoka is 50โฆ yikes.
>>149475069The one thing I will say is that there was about 10 GT300 cars missing from that race and while half of those are habitual backmarkers, it does include Gainer and the Anest Iwata RC-F that is still 7th in points even with missing a round, and operationally renting a German car for Spa is totally different than running your own. But I've felt like there's a good chance this is something of a send off vacation for the old lineup all along.

Sepang Promoter Reveals Plans for GT500 Wildcard in 2026
>HARO Sports & Entertainment, the promoter for this weekendโs SUPER GT race at Sepang, has revealed plans for a GT500 wildcard entry for next yearโs event.
>Hasan described the plans, which would be a first in the history of SUPER GT, as a โwork in progressโ with no manufacturer currently attached to the project, although he expressed a desire for one of the drivers to be Malaysian.
>He added that such a project was important to โkeep up the momentum, to create something biggerโ that would enable the event to draw an even larger crowd in 2026.
>This weekendโs event features two wildcard entries on the grid in the GT300 class, with Earl Bamber Motorsport operating a Porsche 911 GT3 R and an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo that each have a local driver as part of their respective driver lineups.
Pog. The EBM entries were wayyyy off the pace this weekend though and were nothing but moving chicanes even for the other GT300s

>>149500338For me to fly from my regional airport in the Eastern US to Tokyo for the August race at Fuji is under $1,000 even with the hidden fees. Three days at the Fuji hotel is about $1,000 plus I would probably want to see a bit of to Tokyo so another couple hundred for accommodation in Chiba City (HUGE William Gibson fan.) And let's budget another $1,000 for incidentals, food, hats etc. Maybe do the whole thing for $3,500 which is pretty fuggin expensive, but you cant put a price on an adventure like that. Still, I might rather do the WEC event because it's a 6 hour rather than a 2-3 hour race.

I have family in Nor Cal and I was thinking about making a cheeky visit with a side trip to Laguna Seca for IndyCar or IMSA.
>>149504486After watching NASCAR and IMSA run there its wild to see how wide that track is for normal cars. It's basically a 4 lane highway.
gotta milk hard that they're the only vrooms on tv right now
>>149504717I'd still be watching it anyway.
Still, IDK why TA ran yesterday along with NASCAR Cup.
>>149504614Yeah, Laguna would be great. The facility looks a lot more fun than Portland, and there's 3 support races it seems instead of 2. (Portland only has 1 NXT and USF Pro, Laguna has 2 NXTs, Porsches, and Radical Cup whatever that is).
Apparently Alaska Airlines even does nonstop flights to Monterrey airport... hmm.....
>>149504771>Still, IDK why TA ran yesterday along with NASCAR Cup.couple of weekends are flipped that way this year for some reason.
maybe if there's a considerable number of drivers in ta2 driving elsewhere, like annunziata in this race? no idea.
What a shit show in Elkhart lake
>>149505070last year's ta2 was the same
>>149504827>3 support races it seems instead of 2.Yeah, having support races is actually a pretty big deal for in person attendance. I have taken people to Pitet for the entire weekend and when I asked them what the best part was, they said MX-5 Cup! Kek.
Also, Portland is cool, but Laguna Seca is absolutely world class, but there really isn't any reason you couldn't do both. Also, keep in mind that on the other side of the Bay, there is Sonoma, which is completely neglected by most series these days. It's such a great track and I really wish IMSA or IndyCar would run there. I think seeing a NASCAR weekend there would be worth the trip, but that's kind of short notice this year.
>>149505070>>149505104TA2 is often a shit show, but sometimes it delivers. I watch most of them anyway.
The real thing is that the main TA race should be TA and the most accomplished TA2 drivers only and not whatever random classes they can't find a a race for. It would go a very long way in re-legitimizing the series.
>>149505349NASCAR does race at Sonoma
>>149505425also GTWC America
>>149505425I know, but it's in two weeks. That is a bit short notice to book a race vacation. Especially in such an expensive part of the country.
>>149505491I like GTWC, but I am not flying to California to watch dozens of extended FCY sessions. Sonoma is pretty bad about that for SRO. They just repaved it, so the surface is pretty good, I just want a second big money series to run there because it's a great track and I want it to do well. Also, I did so many laps in Grand Turismo there, it's unreal. It's one of my best tracks in vidya.

This race was sanctioned by AAA and organized by the Denver Auto Racing Association. The driver is Ralph de Palma himself, who finished second in the first day's race. >>149510627>NHRA Big Show runs there in 4 weeks. Yeah, I guess they do good business, but it seems slower since the Sears Point/Infenion days. >>149525857ah okay. I talk about the "small viewfinder" it just in mirrorless cameras they are not optical but a high resolution and high fps digital display.
btw basically every slr lens can be adapted to any brand mirrorless bodies nowadays (my go to prime is a 30+ year old screwdrive minolta 200 2.8 I use on a Sony A7R V) and modern electronic viewfinders are pretty instant and can be even blackout free (which is a nice advantage over even optical viewfinders of slrs) if you are not going for a high res body like me (im talking about 61+mpx here) . Old EVFs were bad thats no question, but for like 1500usd used there are stacked sensor cameras which are the speed champions with a 100 isd adapter you can use all your old glass
Tech and quality are pretty much converged together in the camera industry I usually say buy 1. what fits in your budget without finance 2. feels best to use 3. makes sense for you lens wise (given that the nips at canon for example dont allow currently 3rd party manufacturers do the possibilities and selection is way shorter than anywhere else apart pentax)

https://sportscar365.com/lemans/asian-lms/manufacturers-offer-cautious-support-for-hypercar-class/
Manufacturers Offer Cautious Support for Asian Hypercar Class
>Representatives from Porsche, BMW and Ferrari have offered cautious support for plans for the Asian Le Mans Series to add a class for privateer Hypercars in 2026/27.
>Porsche Motorsport boss Thomas Laudenbach said he welcomed the move to open the Asian Le Mans Series to Hypercar customers, but said it was too soon to say with certainty that any 963s will be on the grid for the 2026/27 campaign.
>BMW has yet to begin supply its M Hybrid V8 to customers, although plans to do so are advancing, with the marqueโs motorsport boss Andreas Roos having suggested not long ago that cars could be in privateer hands as early as next year.
>โIf a customer approaches us, we would have to see how this is possible. It is not like running a GT3 car. You need much more effort and it doesnโt work without technical support from the manufacturer to run the cars.
>Ferrari expressed a similar sentiment to Roos, with a manufacturer spokesperson stating in response to a query by Sportscar365 that any participation by customers of the Italian marque would likely hinge on an earlier-than-normal end to the season.
>โIt can be very interesting for us, of course,โ said the spokesperson. โThe only thing is that we should be sure that the season ends before January, in December.
>It appears likely that any Ferrari presence in the Hypercar class of the Asian Le Mans Series would involve AF Corse operating the car on behalf of a customer.
>Currently, the Asian Le Mans Series begins in December at Sepang and ends in February with a pair of Middle Eastern races in Dubai and Abu Dhabi,
>although organizers have suggested a more Southeast Asian-centric calendar is possible for 2026/27.

>>149541546It's a four-leaf, from ใใคใฐ.
>>149542092All the concept of the car seems to be very "trashy" but in a good way, really liked it (especially because I'm quite fond for the early Black Sabbath, and their "Master of Reality" album that is referenced on the top of the car), but the sides of the car with a different color scheme messed up what could be a great livery.
>>149542815Great name for a full-time season at Xfinity with JRM. He might have a place on other Cup teams such as Kaulig, but I don't think it would be any kind of improvement if he went there (both Trackhouse and Kaulig share a issue: the technichal support from ECR/RCR, as if it exists somehow). Honestly, the best possible ride I can think of for him would be an hypothetical third car for 23XI or LMC, but since he doesn't have any relationship with Toyota, the best he could realistically manage to do is replacing someone at Spire.
>>149549641Still no news on our beloved shitters such as Isotta Fraschini, Vanwall, or the best of them all: Glickenhaus going to support privateers in the ALMS?
Also,
>organizers have suggested a more Southeast Asian-centric calendar is possible for 2026/27Finally, a proper ASIAN Le Mans Series, and not a Middle-East ft. Sepang one.
>>149550054>ใใคใฐYo tsuba. That's what I was thinking.
>I'm quite fond for the early Black Sabbath, and their "Master of Reality"Totally based. It's an absolutely excellent album without any qualification.
>>149550124>Still no news on our beloved shitters such as Isotta Fraschini, Vanwall, or the best of them all: Glickenhaus Yeah, I know it is a long shot, but I really love the scrappy small teams, be it privateers or small time manufacturers. I feel like the small manufacturers are at risk of dissappearing as more and more major manufacturers join. I really, really miss the old days of pick a chassis, pick an engine or develop one or both of your own and hit the track. I think the PescaroloJuddwas one of the last cars to do that.
>>149550347The Pescarolo C60 and all the 'Courage' cars were something on its own, and I really like how they are still remembered as a great sign of that era, where small teams could develop cars by their own, without suffering too much with the pressure coming from the big manufacturers (and I proudly own a 1/43 of the C60, really love that car). But if we force enough, we might say that the Rebellion R13 was indeed, the last "DIY prototype car" to be ever made, since the parts weren't made by Rebellion itself, it didn't have a partnership with any manufacturer AFAIK and even the chassis was based off of an LMP2 Oreca chassis, on a LMP1 car.
What amazes me is that it competed for 4 long seasons (counting the Alpine version of it too) and it had some occasional wins.

>>149555182They say they would supply the cars, the issue is logistics bc given the complexity of the car (BMW says the same even) they are needed to give a bigger factory support compared to a gt3 car
(pretty similar to rally1s where every car sold to people who cant get manufacturer support are stripped out a bit (like the one which went to the philippines), and most of the wildcard rides are run by the manufacturer mostly bc the complexity of hybrid )

>>149528114Aaaaand as expected, despite the original plan being chille the next rally for Ogier, he is entered for Finland
The biggest eternal kwabbing would be for Evans if Seb steals the championship again
>>149549953So these lads are literally starting from scratch? As in they're not taking over an existing team, Even toyota with all their resources tried this 20 years ago and built the best wind tunnel and had a half a billion euro budget a season and still didn't win a race in 8 seasons.
>>149556262firsttly, toyota did not start from scratch, they repurposed their previous wrc and sportscar team.
dunno if you ever listened to people who drove for toyota or worked there, but it was more about inflexible japanese corpo structure and decision making, and that they literally sent wrc team to do F1 bc for upper management it was autosport both, so what can go wrong.
The aero and engine people were blaming each other all the time as well. IIRC Salo talked about that the engine had issues but the management was rock solid on the belief that they have the best engine by far on the grid and blamed the aero departments for lack of pace, even though they had to usually run with less DF to make up the shortcoming of the engines, etc...
it was a prime corpo shitshow even in the later part of their stint, but to fix these things took years
>>149549953there are lot of jobs in motorsport (both on team and promoter side) you just need to search for it (and be content with having worse salary than what you would get for the same qualified job in other industries, and also a lot of travelling if you are in that part of the operation)
>>149550961>if we force enough, we might say that the Rebellion R13 was indeed, the last "DIY prototype car"Yeah, I thought about that, too. But I thought the Pescarolo car was a but more clear cut. I really liked the Rebellion cars.

Possibly Toyota got afraid by the new found speed of hyundais on gravel (remember if neuville does not get hangooked they would been standing 1-2-3 at the end of friday) and landed a few hundred thousand euros of reasons for Ogier to have a stronger lineup on their second home event.

>>149567227>my main hesitation is that I really don't want to give anyone involved money.This. Every cent I spend on a ticket is a positive feedback for them, and already from the trailer and some published bits it looks like some sunday after lunch low effort direct to tv movie and tgey had unparalelled access to the sport so this is a conscious decision. So no, I will pirate it at maximum
> It was made for room temperature IQ F1 fans. This is made for women and kids to market them f1. Ive got a dtsbabby friend and she is glowing about how good is the movie
Rush or Le Mans is way better because they werent a marketing tool made after 10 million focus group sessions
>>149566575Still the best racing movie. Re watched it recently and it's still excellent. Ford v Ferrari is also pretty good but Rush has less cringe when it comes to the actual racing. I gotta say Gran Turismo is less bad than you might think it is too, better than F1, but it's still not a great. F1s cool racing shots can't make up for it being a total lame shit plot
SOIBERG returns to Rally1 with toyota

and lol even though this is his first rally1 outing for years, he wont clear the road kek
>>149572523Very cool for him, sad for Sesks who will be mogged (even just because he's in a shitbox)
Although I doubt he can pull it off, it would be hilarious if he beats Pajari
>>149567651Woah, that's pretty great. Thanks!
>>149567930Man, I like the shit boxes as much as anyone, but I'm legitimately concerned this is going to get someone killed.
>>149570125Kek, I have never seen a more appropriate use of this image.
>>149572160>Every cent I spend on a ticket is a positive feedback for themThat's kind of a double edged sword. If they don't get a good response, then we won't see another racing movie for 10 years which might be a good thing if it's a real stinker, but like Singapore bro, I'd like to see a sports car movie. I just don't want to give my money to a bunch of child molesting jews.
>>149572515>a total lame shit plotMost racing movies have a bad plot unless they are based on real life.
>>149573128even then, it's a slippery slope
I watched Ferrari with my dad under the impression it would be focused on the Mille Miglia.
it was instead a biopic about Enzo Ferrari's marital troubles peppered with a couple of unnecessary sex scenes and horrible CGI.
>>149573128you can pirate it then write a horrible review on imdb, or better: f1 fan voice
You did not pay to them yet you can still give them feedback why it was shit
