Two Premier League clubs have enquired with Lazio about former Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares.

Lazio are prepared to sell the 25-year-old at the right price.

Tavares' only signed for Lazio two weeks ago.

He joined initially on loan in a deal which included an obligation to buy a year ago.

Tavares also spent time on loan at Marseille and Nottingham Forest when he was at Arsenal.

You've already said this on your Indian VPN and no Todd Boehly player has gone to Arsenal or United. The last player that went to Arsenal was Havertz aged 24 (thus, not old) and the last one that went to United was Mount aged 24 (thus, not old). Chelsea still interested in Kudus despite other deals

Latest from Kaveh Solekhol & Zinny Boswell:

Chelsea are still interested in Mohammed Kudus despite having agreed deals for Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.

They are monitoring Kudus' situation closely with Tottenham and Newcastle also keen.

Chelsea were offered the chance to sign the forward earlier this summer and he has been of interest to Chelsea since he was at Ajax.

There will be departures as well as arrivals at Chelsea this summer. Chelsea are believed to be keen to include players moving to West Ham as part of a potential deal for Kudus but that is not something West Ham are interested in.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has previously been of interest to Graham Potter since he took over at West Ham.

That was Ronaldo aswell until recently. It wasn't all his fault but then again neither is it all Messi's fault that inter miami are crap.

Personally i'm always going to lean towards Ronny because unlike Messi he has played in multiple top leagues including EPL ofcourse. France and USA just aren't the same.

And still that means literally nothing because at the end of the day they aren't even remotely similar, they represent different aspects of football and so you can't compare them.

Totally and utterly mindraped by the Fergie era to this day, probably even the ETH era.

And it says a lot about them as people that they find more joy in others misery than their own success.

>>149525958
All those teams are top of their leagues. They don't have to cope with multiple demanding higher level competitions every week, and they have more momentum.
Not even a united fan but just look at all these other prem clubs that have much bigger squads and lose in europe still because of all these other factors too. You can count on one hand the amount of matches with fair refereeing in the last few years, the schizophrenic refereeing stances. One minute the EPL is the most physical no nonsense league in the world, the next minute it is "ngubu scores a hat trick of penalties in controversial clash!"
Even spurs had a much easier europa run than united. It's all adds up obviously, and even then the margins can be so slim, but that's how highly competetive modern football works now. The amount of money and more opportunities (especially recently) involved is an incentive for clubs to rise up where before it was a pipe dream.
That has a knock on effect for bigger clubs and promoted sides too, so momentum and pressure is a big deal.

They could have easily sold him for £50m. Hardly a positive thing to get a four year ban. Unless he has a contract clause stating he won't be paid for four years, Chelsea still have to do it afaik. But pretty sure most clauses have a morality clause (i.e, if you do something bad you don't have to be paid). I'll ask ChatGPT.

Yes but he is not as good as Eze, so if they lose out to them it's a downgrade. But Kudus is three years younger, so it might be a better buy anyway. Eze's release clause is way too high. He's £50m tops. But thanks to Chelsea + United being retards, everybody points to their signings as price point.

However, Chelsea ALSO want Kudus so why would Kudus pick Spurs over Chelsea?

I mean I said in my post they have a morality clause and that's what the AI said. They likely will say he did gross misconduct and terminate the contract. The issue would be that he's on a eight year contract so his lawyers would likely argue only half of the contract should be void, the rest should be paid since after four years he'll still have three years on the books.

But as it said, they did this with Mutu and likely have prepared contracts for potential shit like this. Though this is doping, rather than just a mad lad doing drugs.

Kane would easily score 30 goals with Arsenal a season. Maybe push 30 in the PL in general. He has a really good partnership with Saka (or he did before he decided to become a No.10) but there is no way he joins them. People smashed up Nico Williams for going to Barca and that might be off, they'd kill Kane if he joined Arsenal.

As I said, don't care about Arsenal but I would love to see Spurs seethe. My dislike of Spurs increased after their fans got cocky after the stadium and trying to demand £250m for naming rights and saying 'it was a fair price'. I mean I'm happy United didn't win the EL but mad Spurs won it. They had the easiest run in history (in a EL without any CL drop downs) and even then only managed it because they faced the worst United team in PL history. Had Zirkzee and Martinez not been injured, United would have won.

Either way, Kane is a midfielder now unless there are a million other players doing the work and he is told under no circumstances to drop deeper than the box. Against Senegal he literally spent more time as a DM than in the box. He should be played as a No.10 and since we're forced to play Bellendham, play him as a striker, he is listed as a FW for Madrid and he clearly wants to be a striker.

Chelsea and United just paying release clauses and spending never ending amounts of money just make clubs put up silly prices.

Well €8m net would mean €16m gross then (again, according to AS they say he is on €8m net), which is €310k (roughly) per week. So about £270k. I cannot see him moving here for lower than that, even with a better tax band. So £300k makes sense (based on what I've heard other people say). Apparently the only player Arsenal would sanction £300k per week for is Rice.

They do but he has 2 years left on his contract so if he wants to go they'll sell him. If they could get him to sign an extension and then send him on loan for a year that would be best.

He's just in a weird situation where he can't play RW because Salah is there but he doesn't have the engine to play in Liverpool's midfield. He'd thrive in another team that doesn't need their midfielders to cover Salah and Trent. Also unlucky with injuries which set him back.

On his appointment, Savage said: "I feel I have an opportunity to develop a squad to create an attacking brand of football - an aggressive form of football to try and get Forest Green back into the EFL.

Sporting's €60m [£51.4m] Viktor Gyokeres release clause is active from TODAY.

The official clause is €100m, but from 1st July, if any club makes an offer of at least €60m and Sporting refuses, they will have to compensate the player's agent with 10% of the value of the offer.

Wait this seems fucking retarded, surely that isn't legally enforcable as a term.

What's to stop 10 clubs sending 60mE bids and costing Sporting a shit ton?

/sp/ is a place for learning. It's breddy gud because you can convince thots you're well traveled by not having to google where places are or obscure flags. Try it it really works.
NB: Learning capitals seemed to be a bridge too far so I only know a few of those.

Tottenham Women set to appoint Ho

Latest from Sky Sports News' Michael Bridge:

Tottenham Women set to appoint SK Brann boss Martin Ho as their new manager.

Robert Vilahamn left Spurs at the end of last season after two years at the club.

Englishman Ho was in the Everton academy before moving to coaching. He worked as Andy Spence's assistant for Everton's women's team between 2015 and 2018, before taking up the head coach role at Liverpool Women's U21.

Ho left in 2020 to become assistant manager at Manchester United's women's team.

In 2023, he was appointed as SK Brann's head coach, replacing Olli Harder.

yeah i was looking at the bbc article. his wiki page says "becoming the first player in the league's 138-year history to score four penalties in a match" except the match was in 2022 and 2022-138 is 1884, but the football league was founded in 1888. and neither the bbc article or guardian article mention that.
then i tried googling to see if it really was the record but no luck.

well oxford were in league 1 that season, and the second division itself wasnt even added until 1892, third division 1920.
this doesn't matter at all obviously i'm just confused what they're referring to, they didnt mean the club either cause the club was founded 1893

I'm not sure there. I thought maybe it was when the first football club was made but Burnley was made in 1882. The league was officially made 'professional' in 1885. So maybe it meant when it became professional? Also the first league games was 1871-72 season. That was the first official league season, but it wasn't professional OR an established league. The only important thing in 1884 was the formation of a new association in the British Football Association

Doubtful. Arsenal don't have the money for a RW without outgoings. So unless they're selling Martinelli to Bayern, they're going to likely get Gyokeres and then a LW. Madueke also isn't bad at all. He's just been unlucky to play in a team with a gorillion wingers and autistic managers who change the team every week. If he played week in week out I think he'd do great. Havertz turned into a completely different player at Arsenal.

I just don't see them getting Madueke unless he's under £25m. He cost them £30m, hasn't done amazing (but not bad) so Chelsea can't charge a huge amount. If he was £25m then that's a good deal for a 23 year old. I'm sure Arsenal are only interested (not that I can find reliable sources on the details) due to Home Grown status.

Wait never mind, apparently having a guy with 6 years left on contract somehow makes a player who was £30m and has not performed worth £50m. Yeah they'd be absolutely retarded. It makes no sense for either party. He can't play on the left and he wouldn't oust Saka. The guy needs week in week out game time and he won't get it at Arsenal and is not worth £50m.

But then again, Arteta is weird so fuck knows, they're better off going for Eze (unless the £85m is true in which case lol lmao no) or going for a relative unknown. That PSV guy is literally perfect for them but nope. Or go for Adeyemi. He is left footed so prefers the RW but has also played as a striker and would be an insane impact sub.

It is, but apparently they are demanding it is paid instantly, one instalment and if you want to drag the instalment over the length of the contract you have to pay £85m. So either £65m straight away or £17m every year for five years. That's what I remember reading.

So either mis-remembering or journos doing gay shit again.

He most certainly isn't. Are you confusing him with Mudryk?
>Eze replacement for Odegaard
Not too sure about that when Rice would likely move into No.10 and Merino and Zubimendi would be in the midfield like they were in Sociedad. As for the only winger, I only watch MotD but I saw Trossard and Martinelli cut inside all the time and it was actually to the teams' detriment. In fact, one of the reasons Martinelli actually seemed to improve this season compared to last is was he was willing to take it to the byline and cross, rather than immediately be predictable and cut inside.

Finally, one player might not work in one team but works elsewhere, you wouldn't say Salah is shit because he wasn't good at Chelsea. Arsenal would be retarded to do it, I agree, but not due to his quality or talent, but due to the price and them not needing a RW.

Most manchester/liverpool players live in rich areas of Cheshire or merseyside/greater Manchester, and they can get to london or anywhere they need in like 90-120 minutes. Newcastle is a lot longer, and its quicker to get to Glasgow or Edinburgh than it is London

It's also noticeably colder in Newcastle

It's been done for ages, the announcement is this week. Mbeumo hasn't even been agreed. Fraudizio confirmed Zubimendi couple of weeks ago showing him signing the contract for the press shit. Atletico wanted it delayed to June the 5th or some shit because of financial benefits for them to have the money coming in for this financial year or something, which was part of the agreement to do the release clause in instalments.

Decent player in FM but there are much better potential guys to get. His advantage is he isn't particularly weak over all, just not exceptional in anything. Newcastle were linked to Scalvini and he is a GOAT FM lad. So they should pull the trigger on that if they can. I ended up with a CB partnership of Scalvini and Abakar Sylla since Colwil, Thiaw, Hincapié and Zabarnyi are too expensive. Diomande is also great in FM.

But Sylla and Colwill are my favourites because both can get really fast (Colwill easier) for a CB while also being good in the air.

Arsenal just don't have the money for it unless they sell. They still have Reiss Nelson on the books and Fabio Vieira who both can play RW. They either need to sell them or use one of them imo.

But who knows, everything they're doing is slow and retarded.

nwaneri only got consistent game time when odegaard was injured (and there was literally nobody else for that position), when saka was injured he shared the spot with sterlel so not a lot of trust there.
he is quality though, no reason at all why he doesn't play more except for mikels stubbornness

He is a quality player but he isn't worth what he is demanding and what Madrid demand. Xabi doesn't want him yet is demanding £80m for him. He knows he isn't wanted but is demanding like £325k from Arsenal or some shit despite tax laws being better in here than Spain. He's on about £265k at Madrid. But the main issue is he is a LW who is forced to play RW because Vinincus Jr plays RW and Mbappe plays FW. So he can't do what he wants to do. If he joined Arsenal he would be on the LW.

But he won't because Madrid and he are being greedy. Same with Tchouameni. Xabi doesn't want him but wants a huge price for him.

As I said, guy never consistently plays in the position he likes. Until he does that, can't really say much. But he isn't going to do because he ain't leaving Madrid unless they massively drop his price or he drops his wages. Which won't happen. Guy will just sit on the bench and be an impact sub. Also pretty sure Xabi played TAA as a winger a few games ago.

It's just baffling he was played there so much. He's like Zinchenko, not a defender. Glad Xabi realised he is a winger and bought him as one (Bellingham is also listed as a FW not a midfielder by Xabi). Yet England still played TAA as a defender and Bellingham as a midfielder. Had several games where Saka and Bowen were out, could have played TAA as a winger. Nope. Had friendlies and could have played Bellingham as a striker and Kane as a No.10. Nope. Baffling. It just adds to the issue Rodrygo has, since he will be behind TAA even on the RW.
