It CAN have some really good racing, but it can also be a totally shit show. I think it has a lot to do with the course. Some of the street courses are kind of crap or at least the teams and drivers haven't figured them out yet but the dedicated road courses tend to race better.
FE is often on at odd times or times that conflict with other races and it isn't a priority for me, but I have to admit they can have some pretty entertaining races, even if they are full of gimmicks.
