Can you be considered a big club if you've never won the Champions League?
Are these clubs bigger than Arsenal?
>>149663532>>149663452Insane people. Arsenal is the 3rd largest club in the EPL. Meaning theyโre easily a top 10 club in the world by revenue and the amount of supporters.
>>149663708>revenue and ammount of supportersThat doesn't mean shit you didn't win the biggest trophy. Man City mogged them a while ago
>>149663708India is largest country in the world. Make of that as you will.
>>149662721 (OP)To be a big club, history is crucial, you need old epic legends of champions league win, you need those old players to be in club as staff and managers, and so on.
>>149664441Don't blame him. The English frequently say that Manchester United is biggest club in the world. I don't know what they could have over Real Madrid even in finances and amount of fans worldwide.
>>149664814United was bigger than Madrid before the Galacticos
>>149664814If Manchaster United wins Champions 3 year from now, it will have much bigger impact than Arsenal winning it, it's another level of hype and energy because of history.
It would be a fun idea to really define what even is a big club and figure out a way to quantify it somehow in order to compare clubs. I think there are way too many factors that should be taken into consideration.
>Recent Local Success (last 10 years)
>Recent Continental Success (last 10 years)
>Historical Local Success (last 30 years)
>Historical Continental Success (last 30 years)
>Fanbase Size (Global/continental/local outreach)
>Finances (Can't be a big team if you are too poor to sign players)
>Player Pull (For example, some players will join teams like Real Madrid despite being paid less than at other teams)
As of right now, some people say Tottenham and Arsenal are big teams but Atlรฉtico Madrid isn't despite the latter performing much better in both their local league and europe because they are poorer and their fanbase is smaller.
Also Milan is still considered a big club by many despite not performing well for years in both europe and their local league and nearly going bankrupt in the past.
>>149664871Galacticos were 25 years ago. 9 La Ligas and 8 Champions Leagues this century, that's already better than 20 PLs and 3 UCLs.

>>149669951It was just a scratch, guys. I'm okay.
>>149662721 (OP)only if you won a golden premier league trophy.
arsenal is only a 'big' club in the number of deluded mongs it milks for cash
>>149664814united has better memes
and quite frankly no one outside the islamic crescent is impressed by by madrids 1950s mickey mouse cups
>>149662721 (OP)I don't know man why are the Dallas Cowboys consistently the most valuable sports club in the world by a significant margin when they haven't even been to the superbowl in nearly 20 years? Results are not the most important part of how "big" a team is, half of the teams on this list have been a joke for years.
>>149664814United is bigger because /mug/ gets more posts than /rmug/
