Why should I do that when I can watch fun, Enriqueball PSG football with players I like, like Kvaratshkelia and Vitinha?

There's nothing wrong with that, just like I can watch some handegg team and enjoy watching them play if they're good. A plastic is someone who claims they're a supporter.
Do you think there's a rule in football that you can't enjoy watching a team play high level ball? Just don't pretend you're one of them
Nearly every yurop league is dominated by arab plastics these days, and those who haven't have become irrelevant (Serie A for example which is paying the consequences for more than a decade already).
At this point if you don't wanna feel plastic either support your local team or teams from leagues still not chokeholded by oil money or other shitty new regulations.
The only jersey I ever bought was the jersey of my third division shitter home team. I bought it when they were playing in Regionalliga Süd (4th division). I may not get to see good footy. I may not get to celebrate a parade through my city. But by god they are MY shitters and I wouldnt want anyone else. Like a wife that never cooks, constantly nags, never has sex with me and sometimes randomly spits in my mouth. She is MY wife. And I will NEVER sleep in someone elses bed.

Broadly speaking, every type of consumer plastic will stay forever. The only ones which do not are PLA and PHA, which are bioplastics (unlike petrochemicals) and degrade naturally, provided they are exposed to specific composting conditions.

Depends on the team. If you're from Minnesota and decide to support Sheffield Wednesday you can be a real fan after 1 season. If you support PSG and you're not from Paris it's never.
