Cease's biggest issue is that he has some of the worst yips I've seen in a pitcher. If he gives up a run or he gets close to bases getting loaded via walks from shonky 3-2 pitches, his composure crumbles and disaster innings spiral out from there. The problem is that if he gets a bad early outing, he's mentally fucked and becomes a huge liability. Which sucks because when he's in the zone, he's one of the nastiest pitchers in the league.
