>To strengthen the discussions, I have extended invitations to three of our greatest batsmen ever: Sir Clive Lloyd, Sir Vivian Richards, and Brian Lara. They will join past greats Dr. Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Dr. The Most Honourable Desmond Haynes, Ian Bradshaw, who already serve on the committee.

Right so this occurred to me last night or the night before and I’m rather tired this evening so I’ll do me best.
The purpose of cricket is to remove the bails by bowling, this in itself is a sport and could easily be scored by giving each player an over to bowl at the stumps and tally the results.
This precision bowling game is fundamentally what cricket is, until at some point someone decided it would be good to put a man before the wicket to defend it.
And then when the competition between batspersons grows they team up with bowlers and take it in turns to see who can score the most runs whilst defending their respective wickets.
The addition of a non-striker batsperson would’ve been earlier in order to keep the game flowing and also having ends is common with other precision bowling sports.
I was watching the Windies bowl the other night or yesterday and thinking about how stupid the comparison with baseball is, now we all know why because sports like words have etymological properties written within them if you know how to look.
So first it’s a bowls game, then bats batspeople are added for variety (perhaps when it became too easy to due pitch technology providing even pitches), and finally teams of batspersons and bowlers.

Wouldn't be surprised if Zachy's mum (ultra tarq) is the freeholder, and she only got Zachy the leasehold so that he could carry on paying rent to her for years to come, and then hand over the flat too once the lease expires
Not sure how I feel about the concept of a wealth tax (as a replacement for, rather than addition to, the income tax)
Obviously it's a moral good to reduce tax on those who labour while increasing it on the fat cats (e.g., the Bowens, sebbo, homealone) who grow their wealth simply through the ownership of assets, forcing working people to pay an ever greater proportion of their income for the privilege of using these assets
That said, I do wonder if a wealth tax is actually achievable in practice, and whether the inevitable issue of capital flight can be sufficiently mitigated
One for us all to ponder upon while we watch (Test) cricket

>>149809976Yeah the vast majority of flats in England are sold with leasehold, where you'll usually have to pay ground rent to the freeholder (sometimes a nominal 'peppercorn rent' fee, but not always) and an ever-increasing service charge to some property management company
A lot of the leaseholds are 900 years plus so you don't really have to worry about it at all, but once the leasehold gets below 100 years (which isn't uncommon) the property value can start to plummet, because the flat "owner" will have to pay thousands to extend the lease again (or otherwise lose the property to the freeholder)
Some flats (typically from converted former houses) have "share of freehold" arrangements, which is similar to the "commonhold" system which I think they use for all flats in Scotland, and that's a much fairer system
he keeps trying the everyone is countysperg gimmick when it's so obviously him lmao
