Don't know where the OP pic got the info from but this is the lot where most tv view data comes from.

I always thought a lot of it was estimated based on the channels overall viewing share but I don't actually know and I can't be bothered to read it, but in which case a BBC shown event (the womens game) will be higher than a Channel 5 one (the CWC final).

If you look at the by week data the last week that is published on this website is for the last week of June and the womens game would place 17th on the "most watched" list for that week.

I thought it was income (which correlates to success, vaguely), but yeah that's the issue. Some fans have huge income because of their large fandoms (Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd, Spurs) while others because of their foreign investments (Chelsea, Man City).
