Kayo is the Chiyomaru of the current era. His roundness is nearly perfect, on the JSA page for him they don't list his height and weight, they radius and density.

Takerufuji has taught me that no one is Ozeki material until they've pulled a winning record in the joi. Dan probably gets one this time. Kusano isn't even worth talking about yet. He's gonna end up inhaling steroids like Takkers and have a heart attack in the dohyo.

I believe in Kusano.
Chicken-legs was never good to begin with and everyone who believed in him was retarded. His yusho was a pure fluke and nothing more.
Not only he has chicken-legs, but now also he has a broken wing. Truly a chicken.

I've argued before that low Maegashiras having easy schedules makes it easier for them to randomly spike. It's how you get stupid shit like Kinbozan in a yusho playoff back in January at M14 after going 2-2 against Sanyaku opponents.

Kusano is clearly very good with an excellent combination of skill, coordination and ability, but his size is not overwhelming and he might hit a wall when he gets into the heart of makuuchi and is no longer up against borderline juryo guys. Onosato raced up to the top on the strength of being one of the biggest guys in the division and Kusano doesn't have that advantage.

After beating such stiff competition as
>*checks notes*

Meanwhile Onosato has to beat chumps like Terunofuji, Kotozakura, and H*shoryu for his yusho.

Onosato lost to Onosho, Kotonowaka, Hoshoryu and Terunofuji in his debut. If he'd beaten even one of the ozeki and not lost to Onosho, he could've had a playoff at least.

Takerufuji DID beat one of the ozeki (and also beat Onosato), so he won his debut. Was Onosato weak competition?

You can say Onosato is better now, but don't pretend Takerufuji didn't do something Onosato didn't and now never can do.

He won. Keep saying he had an easy tournament too, when he beat both Onosato and the Ozeki that beat Onosato. Keep saying Onosato was part of an easy tournament run. You're insulting him way more than I have in this thread.

Hidenoumi has been in juryo or above since 2014, nearly of that time not being above, so it was kinda of a shame for him to go down to injury after finally making it back to the maegashira ranks. The guy is the embodiment of mid, but he makes up for that with top tier banter whenever the Kise channel features him, which is sadly not often enough.

Takeru's run wasn't a fluke. We've seen too many low maegashira yusho runs, so calm your tits.
And it was known that he was prone to leg injury. That's why he started from the very bottom, and not some cushy TD ranking. Guy was a half-cripple before going pro.

The reason the gyoji and shinpan didn't see the hand touch down is because none of them were looking. You can see it happen in the fight, it's only after the hand goes down that any of them cast their eyes downwards to look for it.
