it will be in negative, not even zero :D

gastrocnemius BENDS THE KNEE it doesn't extend it like in calf raises or walking/running uphill

this grows calves, it's heel-hook and it's climbing movement

Why do hills always look so lame in pictures? I walked up some epic mountain on a beach and took a picture and sent it to my friend, and it just looked like flat ground.

Yes, a real eye opener is the gains people are making with tibia raises and Nordic curls. Like knees over toes recommends. The Nordic curls is basically an exaggerated heel hook.
Anonymous Lithuania No.149916145 >>149924011

Those exercises work hamstrings and have minimal impact on calves (heel hooking is mainly hamstrings). Uphill run/sprints, even flat ground running and sprinting (provided you forefoot strike) will give you incredible calf gains. I'm talking from experience here, not random internet hearsay.

fuck, once i tried this in a monument in the chilean patagonia, there were stairs with like 500steps next to a lake and i did that running, when reached the top my legs stopped working, i fell onto the ground and my legs started to shake, i coughed for like a minute and couldnt breath, i felt like i was dying and my tongue tasted like blood. after 5 minutes i recovered but my legs felt weak
never again

do you always run with a forefoot strike? i gave it a try a couple of years ago for a month or 2 but i wasn't careful enough and managed to hurt my knee a little going downhill so i stopped and settled for a middle strike
