that's a different problem, but purely from a spectator perspective who watches for example club water polo? there's a water polo Champions League every year and you have to go out of your way to find a stream for those games.

to add - my point was that on the Olympics people watch it just to support their nation and most of them don't care about the sport, there are very few real fans of water polo outside of national competitions. and that's because it's boring and often confusing to watch if you're a casual.
