It's "retired hurt". If he goes and gets scanned or whatever and it's not broken and he can bat again, he is allowed to come in whenever a wicket falls. But because it's not a concussion, he doesn't get a full substitute, just a sub fielder. So if it was say, India needs a handful of runs to win the game in the second innings he might hobble out. But if they're down by 400 he probably won't.

Rehan Ahmed has a batting average of 47.3 and bowling average of 16.07 in the county champs this year (thoughbeit in Div 2)

Wonder if he is actually secretly elite

Most sensible plan for the England side in the next few years is to use him and Dawson, gradually phasing out Daws and bringing in Ahmed, while keeping Bashir as far away from the side as possible

>An inquest into the tragic death of Graham Thorpe has heard how a leaked drinking video from the 2021-22 Ashes series caused “catastrophic damage” to the England cricket legend’s mental health.
>Thorpe was found dead last August, two-and-a-half years on from a 4-0 series defeat in Australia, the fallout from which saw him lose his job as England assistant.
>One of the series’ biggest storylines came off the field after police at 6am broke up post-series drinks at a Hobart hotel, that included Joe Root, Jimmy Anderson, Alex Carey, Travis Head and Nathan Lyon.
>Vision of the incident was leaked, and later traced back to Thorpe who filmed it and shared the footage with some friends
>According to reports in the UK, Surrey Coroner’s Court heard during the first day of the inquest on Wednesday that Thorpe was “distraught, horrified, ashamed,” and “terrified” by the leak.

I'm saying if I didn't believe that I'll be held accountable for killing myself I most likely would've killed myself. Life, existence, would have no purpose no matter what you are doing to cope with it everyone dies and the universe eventually implodes on itself or even before that the sun expands and destroys the earth so there's literally no point in building anything or doing anything at all if reality is merely material and we aren't immortal souls. Why bother, just be nihilistic who cares if you kill yourself there's no point living anyway.
Maybe there aren't actually any real atheists

Existence is just ennui my son. What is unbearable about existence is the ease of it. You don't have to be, you just are. Would you rather do nothing or do something, given that nothing really matters? I would do nothing since that's all that matters. It is only you theists who have to worry about cosmic causality. As if the unfathomable fate of a disreputably inhabited ball of mud stretching across the span of billions of years would somehow proffer a bursting bubble of breath with meaning. How absurd to even think of such a thing. You theists and your silly notions. Why don't YOU give it a rest and do nothing.
