I don't know where else to ask this, if mods need to remove it I understand.

I'm American. I got into football about 10 years ago. I supported a major team, mostly because they were/are frequently on TV. Went to a match in the UK a while back, bought a jersey, learned the players. I get to visit the UK again and I find myself not really caring about the same team and wanting to adopt a new team. The management and team culture of the original team is trash and I found myself last season hoping they lost some games. Is it frowned upon to switch allegiances or to be a fan of the bunch of teams? . I have found myself getting increasingly into the sport over the years, as American sports have way too many commercials. I really just like the sport, but I notice to even buy tickets to a PL match you need to buy a membership. With American sports, I've always been a fan of my local teams, but it feels different when the sport is in another country. Guess I'm just curious for some thoughts

Can someone explain to me, without memeing, why Barca would want Rashford even on loan?
He is absolute hot garbage. Even at his best he is not up to Barca standards.
His attitude stinks, it's not a matter of if but when he starts behaving badly again, whether partying, or being lazy in training/matches, and causing problems in the locker room.

As a United customer, Rashford is very frustrating and I'm glad he's gone but he CAN show flashes of world-class quality

I guess Barca are hoping that Rashford will be rejuvenated now that he's playing somewhere he actually wants to be, in which case he'd be a steal at £30m

I think it'll go similar to the Villa loan spell though, he'll look good in flashes but be fairly inconsistent, and they won't take the option to buy him

It seems like they’re hoping to recreate that season where he scored 30 goals as a winger in all comps. But I can’t ever see that happening again and don’t understand why they are stupid enough to think it could. Baffling decision from Barca honestly, but maybe they’ll prove us all wrong. I suppose Lel liga is a weaker league and he might just dominate and score loads again.

@David_Ornstein: Alexander Isak wants to leave Newcastle.

His absence from the club's tour to Asia was a preference of the striker

@mhardysport: Alexander Isak turned down a new contract offer from Newcastle, who were prepared to go to about £200k per week.

The striker wanted closer to £300k but any higher would create problems with PSR rules as well as creating dressing-room disharmony

@mhardysport: A move to Liverpool is more likely than a move to Saudi Arabia for Alexander Isak.

It is thought the striker wants to keep playing top level football at this stage of his career

Alexander Isak told Newcastle he wants £300k-per-week, as revealed on @talkSPORT last week. Not a number Newcastle can match.

Swedish striker’s preference is to leave and Newcastle are exploring other attackers in case a suitable offer arrives, and despite the club’s consistent non-for-sale stance.

Leipzig’s Loïs Openda and Brentford’s Yoane Wissa two names targeted. Brentford seeking £40m+ for Wissa. Newcastle preparing a new bid north of £30m.

Completely different topics and it's got nothing to do with Nottingham Forest, they were merely benefited indirectly by the shifting around of Crystal Palace.
One is financial fair play in the EPL, the other one is multi-club ownership regulations in UEFA competitions.
Crystal Palace used to have a minority shareholder in common with Olympic Lyon, and UEFA requires clubs with the same owner to have done some meaningless paperwork in order to ensure there's no unfair benefits due to having multiple clubs by the same owner in the same competition. They don't ensure anything and it's just bureaucracy for show but that's another matter.
The question would be whether the EPL has proper clauses in play that would forbid the trick the anon is pointing out, which I think they don't. That said, they'd have to convince the player in question that they super promise that they'll loan him back to play in the actual club they want to play at, as they surely couldn't make it part of the contract.
