I'm not shocked by the likely verdict - perhaps if this was investigated when it happened as it should have been it may have been different. Personally, I've got no doubt that they assaulted E.M. but I certainly recognize the threshold that needs to be met and my personal beliefs on what they did do not rise up to a criminal conviction.

My disappointment really is what comes next. Some of the comments here are already going after E.M. and I have no doubt that her life is going to be turned even more upside down by this than it already was. Just because someone was found not guilty doesn't mean the act never happened, it just means it can't be proven.

I truly hope that E.M. is okay after this. I certainly understand the decision and rationally I do see why it is the decision of the judge. Emotionally, it sucks.
