For him to get into the F1 path, he first needs to run for some time on Europe, then he needs a big sponsor under himself, then he needs to join a development F1 team, and then he needs to do a big season in F2, wait for someone that already has a seat on F1 to get out of it and maybe he can be on the top spot.

I know some good drivers went from Indy to F1, but those days have been long past and now it's harder and harder for those drivers to get into the sport.
