Are there really people who say he wasn't even a remarkable player of his era? I can't imagine. I know some people say Pelé would be garbage today - and they're right, but only if you teleport 1960s Pelé into today's game. With modern training and nutrition and gear, he'd probably be absolutely elite in today's game as well, and the same goes for many other legends of old
Pelé was crazy good in his day. I don't think anyone doubts that. Although I do believe that he's getting a bit too much hype from some casual compared to other legends
