Lewis-Skelly is a fabulous talent but he was never a left back. He's a deep-lying ball progression midfielder (like Rice, Rogers, etc.) and has been so for his entire academy career. He put in a lot of effort last year to make the LB role work, and he was still exposed defensively many times. Very poor preseason from him since then, which just confirms that he can't stay there for long. The sooner he becomes Rice's understudy in that left-sided midfield role, the better. Calafiori has work to do on his defensive decision-making but his high-octane unpredictable movement on the overlap is nuts. The hate he's getting because of a couple mistakes isn't fair. He's one of our biggest X-factors every time he's on the pitch and will be our first-choice LB this season. If he stays fit, which is a ginormous "if" desu.

He wasn't given much service prior to the headed goal. He had one chance from a saka cross which he tried to hook into the corner but there wasn't enough power, but aside from that the zubi cross was the only clear chance he had all game. The diving header was impressive though, he didn't really have anywhere to aim except for the near post which was covered but he still almost scored from a half chance. The man is quality. Havertz and jesus would never attack that cross like he did.

I wasn't sure about his heading but I knew his link up play would be very good. You see that in the national team every game. Isak is the more Martinelli type (head down dribbling or shooting ignoring his teammates) while Gyökeres always link up and create for his teammates when necessary. Although if you give him the ball in the penalty box, he will most likely try to conjure a shot.

If we are going to talk heading then I am sad that Saka seems to be one of the worst headers of the ball since Ljungberg.
