2011/2012 when it felt like we could win something, losing those Brazilian Cup finals sort of killed the passion I had for football, I still love it, but it's never been the same, Athletico winning it in 2019, and the Sudamericana in 2018 and 2021 while we keep getting relegated over and over didn't help. I just wanted to celebrate one major title in my lifetime, man... sports suck.

i feel you bro
as a santosfag i watched robinho winning the championship twice as a kid, watched neymar and elano in 2011, and it's been downhill ever since
when we lost the cup in 2015 i actually laid down and cried in the shower
in 2020 when we were robbed in libertadores i decided i dont want to have anything to do with sports anymore

I hope better days come for you, Santos anon. Even with the relegation I still see Santos as the biggest club in Brazil, Pele is just impossible to beat, and then on top of they you guys gave football Neymar too. Palmeiras is doing amazing nowadays, but both Corinthians and Sao Paulo, while doing better than Santos, aren't impossible to catch up if Santos could just get it together, I'm hoping Neymar can save you from relegation and help you guys fight for at least a Brazilian Cup or Sudamericana next year.

As for me, I just hope we don't bottle promotion yet again.

10th of May, winning 6:1 and securing promotion after seven long years of absolute misery and choking of the most pathetic kind. It was almost surreal joy

Schweinfurt? If so, it's only been two matchdays and you had to get promoted for that in the first place. Schweinfurt being in the 3rd tier is an anomaly anyway, so you can enjoy the ride no matter where it ends

When this gigachad scored this last minute goal, at the time it was almost the cherry on top of a flawless season.

I support a small team from my city. They used to be the 2nd division somewhere in the mid 10s, but i was hopeful and happy but i wanted so badly to see them in the first tier, i thought better times would come. Instead they are now stuck in the state championship, and even being in the 2nd division of state championship. I just feel dreadful, but i still go to the stadium and cheer for them. It just sucks to think that if they ever go to the 1st national division in my lifetime i will probably be a 70yo, i wanted to see them at least one time ffs
>tldr: i was happy but i didnt know

Also while i do believe the team can bounce back to a 3rd division soon, maybe even the 2nd division in a spam of 10 years, im just extremely blackpilled about any chances of seeing them in the 1st division. Id feel that the job was done if they ever played a full year in the 1st division. Wouldnt even care about playing the 4th division for a decade after that

Well, >we got promoted in May. Before that, it was seven years of really painful choking in the last few games as a massive favorite, and before that, it was another seven years of steady decline in the Bundesliga, accompanied by lots of ridicule and hate. Finally returning is the only objectively good thing that has happened to me in my life as a fan. My life is pampered enough that us getting relegated was one of the worst days of my life, and getting promoted was one of my best
I couldn't go full autism mode for the deciding game because I was at a party of a good friend, but we all watched the game together because my friends knew I would go insane otherwise. The final whistle felt completely surreal. We celebrated that evening, but it only kicked in when I drove to my parents and got to hug my dad with tears in my eyes. I then went out again and partied with tons of other people who also celebrated this, it was madness. Fireworks, singing until your voice gives up, lots of crazy stunts. I'm not a party guy at all, but that was different
I never woke up happier and more refreshed than in the following morning. And that was despite having stayed up all night. The feeling carried on for at least a week

When following my village club, happiness means beating the neighbor villages, particularly the four we share a town with. That happens regularly, but the team is too dumb to keep it together for an entire season. I'd love to see them fight for promotion, the quality is there. But they're the definition of based retards with motivation issues and sudden brainfarts during games. That's frustrating, but we can usually still stick it to the other villages

That's fair, they're the only ones to never get relegated, alongside Sao Paulo, but have more league and cup titles, more fans, and the same amount of Libertadores, what often puts Sao Paulo ahead here is the CWC titles, which are a big deal in Brazil, but I see why many would put Flamengo ahead, especially since they've been more relevant in recent years, it's 50/50 I guess.
