My club's biggest legend, basically the personification of club and city, and a folk hero for all of Germany, died in 2022 in his mid-80s. He basically carried the entire club on his back for decades and then saw others ruin it in a process that took several decades. He saw >us get relegated for the first time in 2018, and he often said that the last thing he wanted to see in his life is his club's return to the Bundesliga. >We were three years late
But when it finally happened, it felt like he was there as well. I need to say something positive now since I am very scared of directly getting relegated again
