Prices rise based on player popularity. Transfers in raise price, transfers out lower it. They are done at midnight on the Saturday and Sunday I believe. A player's price can not go down or up more than 0.3m. When you transfer a player you get the price that is shown at that moment regardless of what happens to him during that gameweek. You only get half of the profit of a player you sold. So if a player is worth 10m but becomes worth 10.2m you will only get 10.1m for selling him. It always costs the full amount to purchase a player.
