They should get rid of tier 1 altogether. There’s either test nation or non-test nation. Origin eligibility is completely separate from test eligibility and only retards who don’t actually understand what the reasons for having origin were in the first place, like Tallis, don’t get it.
Before origin the state sides were selected based on which competition (NSWRL/CRL or QRL/BRL) you were registered in, what origin did was make the eligibility based on where you played as a junior.
Obviously everyone who plays junior footy in Australia should be eligible to represent Australia, but there’s no reason why they shouldn’t also be eligible for other nations like if they were born overseas or played some junior footy in multiple countries or even if they are the sons of migrants for whatever reason and want to represent their family heritage.
The current setup is stupid, poms and kiwis can’t play origin but everyone else can it’s ridiculous

I also think they should have Lebanon in the next pacific championships. The Lebs have made the qtr finals at the last three (?) WCs and are a better side than PNG and Cook Islands and need to be playing more test footy

The Twelve is alright not great not must watch, it’s a bit weird subject matter but that ties in nicely with the mystery which is the main plot point. There’s a bit of political commentary so if you’re fragile about that stuff don’t watch it you’ll just make yourself angry. 3 stars.
