Only with time. We were shit because the playstyle is currently being overhauled. Players were going for passes that they would never have attempted last season, and were fucking up the timings since they obviously aren't used to it. It'll take time to settle in, but that's something we dont have.

Retards will say "sign of champions" and what-not, but then will be first to cry when we get fucked at St. James' park or Anfield. Having to scam wins is fine in like matchweek 33 when you just need the points and to move on to the next week, but from match day 1 is just concerning.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has addressed Myles Lewis-Skelly's disciplinary issues, particularly after he was substituted in the first half of a Champions League match due to a yellow card and a subsequent reckless challenge. Arteta emphasizes the need for Lewis-Skelly, a young and intelligent player, to understand the "thin line" between aggression and control to avoid being a "liability" on the pitch. While not wanting to lose the player's inherent courage and "essence," the team is focused on teaching him to manage risks, control situations, and apply defensive principles effectively to prevent avoidable disciplinary actions.

I was thinking the same the other day but couldn't come up with a single team who successfully played anything similar. I can't come up with how it would work in transition or in possession either. We would need to be extremely fluid in both attack and defense. And I don't think that will work well.

Anyone else worried that we have signed too many players? This season might become a bad one with a too big squad. With some bad results the players that aren't playing will become angry and then we become Man Utd or Chelsea with a broken squad.

That is how you set up a 4-2-2-2.
How will this team defend an overlapping wing back? Is it Zubi and Rice that will go all the way out to the wing or will that be Ode and Eze? Saka and Gyok?

When we win the ball and two of the players are all the way out on the wing for defending. How will we attack? How will we keep possession in attack when everyone is so central and no width?

The way I see the 4-2-2-2 is that we would play a very direct attacking football through the middle with a very fluent forward 4. But that doesn't work if we are 4-4-2 in defense when we win the ball. Two players will be completely out of position for that direct attack.

White and Calafiori will defend against the winger. Last season we conceded a few goals from the opposition wing back because Trossard couldn't run back and defend. The opposition overlapping and crossing to another wing back on the far side forces two players from Arsenal to go deeper and defend. And Rice and Zubimendi need to cover the area in front of the defenders.

I also think we are best suited for a 4-2-3-1. Which would have fitted Kieran Tierney perfectly since that will leave no room for a cutting inside LB but a marauding one on the overlap.

It is well known within football that the CAA Base agency, who represent Eze, have a close relationship with Tottenham which has spanned many years. When Spurs became aware that Arsenal had jumped in, it is understood that attempts were made to try and draw on that relationship and to see if anything could be done to keep Eze on the road to Tottenham.

But the agency had to be realistic. Once Arsenal were in the game, there was only ever going to be one destination. The message was relayed back to Spurs that this was an emotional decision and that there was nothing they could do to alter the outcome.

Eze has been asking people for a long period of time "Are Arsenal there? Does Arteta want me?" . He was pushing team mates to explore the situation

When Eberechi Eze got his first Arsenal kit, it was the red & white classic with the O2 logo. It even had the same long sleeves favoured by his hero, Thierry Henry. Indeed, it meant so much to the boy that his parents still have it close to two decades later. [@MikeKeegan_DM]

Super silly and I don't get why are they so worked up about it.
On the other hand, however, the way Spuds approached the deal, how long it was taking, and how it ended really reminded me of a few Assna deals of the past.

Because they're left seriously short in midfield. It's like not signing a striker in Jan when jesus got injured only for havertz to get injured too. Spurs need 2 midfielders but can't even get one over the line in 2 attempts. They realise they're fucked and it's all because of arsenal, and some bad luck that went against them.

imagine if we bought morgz in the first place instead of fucken madueke.
morgz is actually a good goal scorer/ passer. much better overall player, costs about the same and has the positive side effect of not giving 50 million pounds to fucken chelsea football club.
but no, we buy shitueke instead.

Madueke was bought to cover saka. Rodgers is like eze, primarily a 10 or left winger. I still think there will be departures and a chance at signing one more big signing before the end.

i dont know i just don't believe it's a smart purchase to get noni for 50m just to cover saka. why not let nwaneri or dowman rest him in done games and cups?
and how many times have noni played on the RW thus far with us?
it seems he's more of a martinelli replacement than a saka cover for now.
