They aren't that large in most cases. If a club can fit in that many? Good for them! I'd love 1860 München to build a new stadium, they are currently stuck in a 15,000 seat stadium they could sell out thrice every game. German clubs aren't really known for building massive stadiums, simply because we have less investor pull - so the clubs can't just build stadiums as they please. It's a testament to fan culture that stadiums have a certain size. My club's stadium is pretty large, but too small for the demand, there are thousands on waiting lists. It's good if the sport is popular enough to warrant larger stadiums. There's no counter-argument to be made. No one wants to build a 60,000 seat stadium for Erzgebirge Aue

The problem in the Bundesliga is that Wolfsburg, Leipzig, Leverkusen and more or less Hoffenheim don't adhere to it. It would be better to have no exceptions. Why should an individual own a club that has hundreds of thousands of fans? It should be an option for fans to take matters into their own hands to a degree. I don't think that's forbidden anywhere, so the point is probably moot anyway. But to have everything depend on the generosity of a single person or company doesn't sound like a good model for something many people get emotional about

I like the concept of tailgating, but it doesn't have to be mutually exclusive with having decent public transport and accessibility. It integrates the clubs into the city more, that helps with identity. Do you like getting stuck in traffic for hours before and after games? Not like this doesn't happen here, but mitigating a bit of that by not making everything car-dependent won't hurt. And spending some banter time with other fans is also cool and builds excitement

Best location possible is near a city center in a park. Got some protection from loud noise, nice surroundings in general, room for good access with various means of transport, and you're still near the "pulse" of the city and the fans

Driving just makes people miserable. It's true that it can be comfy when there's no heavy traffic but most of the time the only thing it does is make people frustrated and angry at each other. I would never attend games if I had to drive to the stadium. such a pain in the ass having to drive and deal with traffic especially leaving the stadium, pay for parking, be concerned about how much I drink, just awful.
fortunately I can access every stadium here via light rail, so I go to games all the time.
