At this moment there's no definitive best player in the world, but give it 3 months and Yamal will have left everyone in the dust. He's the closest thing this generation has to a new Messi, Mbappe and Haaland are more like this generations Henry and Van Nistelrooy, which is still great but obviously not at the level of Messi and potentially Yamal.

Is Mbappe hardworking? I don’t know anything about his personal life and don't follow his club career much but I like the grit he has when playing for the NT

This. >400k on a retarded chain >yacht parties with escorts
Yamal seems to be worse than Neymar because he at least tried in his early career since he had to escape Brazil.

They're all pretty fucking shit, to be honest, at least by previous generations' standards. Definitely the weakest group of elite of players since Nedved won the Ballon d'Or in 2003. The wealth of talent from roughly 2008 to 2020 was ridiculous looking back. Even like a prime Arjen Robben, who was only ever on the fringes of top five at his best, would probably be the best player in the world right now.
