They might start some cricket clubs, that’ll be good for the sport. The whole pitch curation aspect is something I feel would appeal to the Japanese, also the philosophy of the sport being the bowler attacking the wicket and the batsperson defending whilst also scoring is certainly poetic and beautiful, there’s correct forms in cricket, there’s also stats for autistics.

The only thing cricket and baseball have in common is there’s a ball and you hit the ball with a bat. They’re not even historically related in any sense and the purpose and intent of the games in how they are played is different, they’re more different actually than rugby and soccer for example.
I think to understand cricket it has to be experienced, it’s not possible to look at it and suddenly have a proper understanding

It's awful for cricket that the national side for pretty much every country who hasn't historically played cricket is made up of random pajeet migrants who have been in the country 5 years and can't even speak the language. They're mostly shit players too, way worse than the local amateur sides in the UK, Australia, and South Africa.

Actual locals from these countries will never play the sport now, because they'd just see it as a weird sport for pajeets, and would feel like complete outcasts if they ever tried to join.

The only way they'll ever not become minnows if popularity grows organically among the actual population, and they start to develop proper talent pathways. Maybe it wouldn't ever actually happen, but at least the possibility is there.

Having a national side made up entirely of pajeet migrants who don't give a shit about the country they're in means those countries will stay minnows forever. The local population won't care at all (why would they support a team full of random Indians who just so happen to live in their country), so you'll be permanently selecting a national side from however many thousand pajeets are in your country, instead of millions of people actually from your country
