I have unfortunately seen both. But I am not surprised that you as a Canadian see more shirts of an MLS franchise, it just makes sense geographically. It's still kind of similar in Europe, people know Miami more than they know any place in Arabia. The club is new and values optics a lot, apparently. It's the more famous location in general, with more glamour factor. Because of various factors like that, I see many people appreciate the MLS more than the Saudi league in general
I don't think it's about the players themselves. Ronaldo playing for Miami and Messi playing for Al-Nassr probably would still lead to more Miami shirts on the streets
Fortunately, both are rare sights. But them existing (outside of their core markets) is grim already
