And? The Bundesliga is diseased, rotten to its core. There's no saving it - we need to pull it out by the roots. Wipe the slate clean. BURN IT DOWN! And from the ashes, a new Bundesliga will be born

the bundesliga is 100 times healthier than the EPL thanks to the 50+1 rule. The greedy, commercial fucks that run the EPL have absolutely ruined it to the point where it WILL implode and all fans will turn their backs on it.

it's already happening. Many local fans stop going because they can't afford it and are pushed out by tourists. The Super League backlash also showed that fans will not accept everything.

quick question because germans always tell me how good 50+1 is - how do you lot get your share of the transfer fees received? surely you do being members and paying fees to do so no? doesn't just go to a faceless board members who don't even reinvest it does it, surely not?

>how do you lot get your share of the transfer fees received?
Ticket prices. we can go to the game 7x for everyone time you go to one of your games, and im not even including if you buy drinks and food there.

so if stuttgart didn't sell woltemade they would have raised ticket prices?

Fleecing EPL teams with such transfers is how these clubs keep themselves going these days it seems. Ergo, no threat to the 50+1 rule arises and I get to enjoy my 1.50€ Bratwurstsemmel every match :)

Members pay membership fees. That plus the usual stuff. Sponsors, ticket prices, merch, TV money
The board members are well-known for the most part, and members being pissed can put on the pressure to get rid of them. How exactly that works depends on the club's internal structure and laws. When a club makes such a profit, they are expected to do something with it, of course. Fans usually don't expect it to end up 1:1 on new players, but there needs to be a plan. Club officials are usually quite happy to at least vaguely hint at what their plans are so that they don't end up getting voted out of office at the next member conference, though that would require a lot of fucking up from their side
>>150454496
What makes you think that? They didn't rely on selling Woltemade, but such an offer is hard to reject. They wanted 70 million from Bayern and everyone called them crazy. It was seen as a very daring "come and get him (you won't) lol" move ... and now Newcastle gives them even more?
If a club really struggles, they might raise ticket prices. But that's usually very unpopular with members, as you can imagine

i think people getting angry that ticket prices might cost more than 10 euros when a takeaway costs more than that these days is what is holding you back. 50+1 genuinely seems good for nothing

this is such a cuck mentality. Just call the Bundesliga farmers or something. Trying to make the bnenfits of 50+1 look bad just makes you seem pathetic.

WAHEY!
Anonymous Germany No.150455428

What's your proposal?
Ticket prices aren't that much of a revenue factor these days, this isn't the 60s anymore. It's not like German clubs don't tailor ticket to demands. The ultra sections don't want to pay more than 20 Euros, so the club obliges. Others pay more for certain seats
The main issue with 50+1 is that there are exceptions. That's the dumb part. Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Leipzig, and Hoffenheim shouldn't exist in this form. Having 50+1 does prevent some growth, but the clubs are financially healthy for the most part and do reasonably well. It could be much worse

cuck is being the largest economy in europe but having the distant 4th best league 2bh. ticket prices should move with inflation. if you pay more for a cinema ticket than you do to watch your team, especiially when your money actually supports your team and improves the league then there's a problem. you don't need to go overboard with pricing but the whole cult of 50+1 in germanty has really done a number on you.
