>90 million for Woltemade
>70 million for Beier
This is getting beyond ridiculous. These sums were for absolute world-class players 10 years ago, and even that was hefty already
Even with PL clubs whoring themselves for every penny, this cannot be sustainable

>for every penny, this cannot be sustainable
This is not even financed by club revenue, it is straight up from capital expansions (money laundering) nost EPL clubs don't even earn that much money (Newcastle earns half of what Atletico does and Arsenal that spent 250M net this summer is slightly bigger in terms of revenue than Inter or Atletico)

He's a very interesting player. He's tall as fuck and a good target man, but he moves unlike anybody with his height could even fathom. In fact, his header and finishing skills are the ones he needs to polish more than the passing and dribbling/moving in the box skills. He can improve at that - and if he were to do that, he'd instantly be one of the best strikers in the world
But at the end of the day, he's only had one good season, maybe one and a half. He's not super young anymore either.
With a lot of goodwill, you'd say he's worth 50 million. Maybe 60 if you really believe in him. But 90? What the fuck

it's not seething. The germans just can't believe anymore how much they can the fleece the pl clubs. 85m for woltemade is utterly insane. even in this inflated market he should be worth about 30m. why even try to win titles when you can fleece the pl for hundrets of millions. literally free money

These insane prices decide seasons now. Sell your player to a PL club and you will get twice the amount you would receive elsewhere, it can decide whether a squad can be truly upgraded or not for most clubs
Bayern obviously dwarve Newcastle in terms of size, but they weren’t willing to pay 50 million for the same player, despite really wanting him
All of this just shows that clubs will place more value on their own youth development

the PL is its own economy, it's not even risky to overspend now. chelsea bought madueke, he played like shit and they still sold him for profit. nicolas jackson has been shit his entire stint at chelsea and bayern are willing to pay silly money for him. and then you have players who actually performed like isak who's going for being signed for 60m to going for 120-150

From my understanding there is no way the EPL keeps being just 20 teams. The number of teams must change either to make the pool of EPL larger or decrease the number of clubs to keep the high income
What you think? A 18 teams EPL or a 22 teams EPL is coming to you people in the future
