Agreed but also Superflex is stupid and a misnomer. You're never going to put anything in your "Superflex" spot except a QB. Doing anything else is just admitting that you're losing that week.

Your RB situation is very precarious. RJ Harvey is high risk for RB1 production, and I think Aaron Jones is going to gradually get pushed out by Mason, not even considering injury risk at his age. Stevenson is also going to be at risk of getting sidelined by Henderson. Tracy appears to be the most consistently reliable RB on your roster, and that's not great. JCM is another high risk high reward player, but at least he's depth and not a starter.
Diggs is washed and Addison may not pickup where he left off when he returns from his suspension, now that Thielen will be providing additional competition for targets as a safety blanket for McCarthy. Xavier can hopefully breakout this year, but he could end up being pretty boom bust, especially when Rice comes back.
You're going to have to really hope that Hurts and Bowers deliver bigly, and that Tee Higgins isn't getting hurt. Malik should also hopefully have a monster year for your sake.

11 is too early for bowers, sorry breh. it could be forgiven in PPR if you did something like RB->bowers->WR->WR, but taking both a QB and a TE in the first 31 picks feels like shit value, especially considering one was a massive reach. your RB room is one big RBBC and your big name WRs are fragile. pretty much praying for everything to go right in a game where something's bound to go wrong

WTF am I supposed to do with BRob? I drafted way before the trade news and now I'm stuck with this bum on my bench. I don't own CMC but should I just hold him and wait for the inevitable injury? What kind of value can I even get for BRob in a trade. Feels like a completely wasted bench slot right now, especially with Coker still sitting there in FA.
>>150475776
You are a fucking retard but you are a lucky retard, same with the other 6 gorillion BRob owners complaining about the situation. Newsflash for newfags or retards with goldfish memory spans: CMC has chronic Achilles issues in BOTH feet, is a 29 year old running back with a long history of injury woes and Shanahan teams run the hell out of the ball even with practice squad scrubs. It will take three games max for CMC to go on IR and at that point Robinson will be a RB1. Meanwhile if he stayed in Washington, Ekeler would take away all of the passing downs, Daniels will goal line vulture all year long and the redskins already preferred Le hyphenated rookie #37391 more than Robinson. His ass was getting cut due to being redundant and instead heโs going to a team that runs the ball a shitload and canโt rely on its current RB, and otherwise has tin cans backing him up. Holy fuck youโre all dumb

sleeper picks dont exist anymore because theres 1000 jewtube """""analysts""'' who hype them up until their ADP becomes far too high to be worth the risk, thus ruining the entire point of it being a sleeper. I took JCM with the last pick of my first draft, and by the time I did my second draft he went in the fucking seventh round. hampton is going round 3 and henderson round 3/4. theyre not worth it at that price, period. you'll have to wait until after week 1 to find the actual sleepers.

Hypothetically if Burrow was still there in round 2, I think Iโd take him in a heartbeat. But how far down the list of QBs would you go before you didnโt take a second one? Keepers arenโt my favorite, but theyโre not cringe per se. Superflex is stupid, but at least it involves a bit of strategy. No TEs actually just makes the game dumber. It takes a position of relative scarcity and removes it because people donโt like making decisions. Very cringe.

Superflex easily. Keeper leagues are fun if you limit it to like 1 year of keeper, maybe 2, and no TE is the only way to play fantasy. Anything other than 1 or 2 TEs is a literal coin flip, either they get a TD or they do nothing. If they were worth starting you could put them in your flex, but you never will.
First year doing a guillotine league, so the last placing team each week gets eliminated and all their players get dropped to waivers?
We have 1,000 FAB budget so how much of that should I be spending if I want the eliminated team's best player? If someone else wants to massively overpay that's fine but would $150 for a top-20 WR be wise?

$150 for a top WR early season would be incredible, but absolutely not going to happen lol. our budget was $100 and the top guys went for $35-50 in the first few weeks. for guys like bijan/chase it went up to $65-70. granted, we started midway through the season so people weren't being quite so forward thinking with their budget... but if your team is good enough to hold on immediately after the draft, maybe picking up a tier 2/3 guy here or there, you're best off avoiding the wire for the first few weeks. keep in mind that guys who don't spend their FAAB are more likely to drop off, so as the season goes on the remaining FAAB pool gets significantly smaller at a more-than-linear rate

I built my team pretty strong at QB and RB and have Njoku at TE who should get looks every week, so I'm really in a position to spend on a top WR when one becomes available

NTA but ancient draft strategy like this will never not be funny to me. You're still in the RBs are the most important position, they must be taken within the first two rounds, blah blah blah mindset. That's outdated. People that really know ball understand QB and TE are the most important positions to draft early because you only get one slot for them, so there's no room to fuck up. And TE has to be early because the difference between a top 3 TE and everyone else is massive.

You either get a top 3 TE or you wait for a Warren or Loveland type late and play the WW during the season. You don't need to get a Bowers who is a bit overpriced. With Jeanty now there he'll lose some touches for sure. It's still smart to go RB early. If you hit there with your top two then you're not depending on guys in timeshares or waiting for some injury to make Ollie Gordon viable.

I'm sure there is some formula but you can ignore the grades. They factor in K and D/ST as if they matter. They aren't great at taking into account injuries or suspensions either, either dinging you for getting a guy who is suspended 4 games or not realizing Mixon is likely a wash this year.

D/ST first, kicker second.
D/ST are generally consistent and you can bank on a unit being solid. Kickers are more random and you'll can drop your 6th WR for a top 3-5 kicker during that kickers bye week because the owner will drop him for a replacement.

imo you don't want to walk out of the first 25 picks without your RB1. if you're an earlier pick, you can pick up an all-star WR1 and still get someone like bucky, JT, chase on the reversal; as a late pick, i'd probably just get an RB first and then figure it out from there

its rome's breakout season. training camp and preseason all point to him being wr1 and calebs favorite target. bears have the most improved o line in the league and the top offensive mind. congrats to everyone who drafted him.
Rate my friend's 10 man full PPR league where he drafted 1st overall.
14Man with experimental scoring that's basically half PPR but with potential for 1.15-1.35 points total depending how many yards the pass goes for and whether it's a WR/RB/TE catching it. Thoughts on this team? Was surprised CD fell to me in the 9th, and felt stacking him up with London was a no brainer. Kittle in the mid 4th was also unexpected. Biggest worry is obv Omarion and RJ at RB1/2. How risky is this, and what's the upside? For comparison, I could have picked Kenneth Walker instead of Omarion and Tony Pollard instead of Harvey. In hindsight I wish I did Walker / RJ or Omarion / Pollard, but decided to just go full gambler mode.
is derrick henry too old now or will he continue to smash and crash? I drafted kelce last year for the first time and of course it was when he finally fell off the fucking cliff.

There's a lot of risk in rookies and idk about the Chargers but I'm guessing Omarion is going to get the majority of the workload at some point during the season and RJ has a chance at a Kamara/Ingram situation where those rbs both finish in the top 10. I think I'd have gone Walker/Harvey just based on schedules. Otherwise I think the starters are pretty good
the whole point of drafting rookies is that you can take them LATE and have high upside. holy shit have you people gone full fucking retard with rookies this year. yeah some of them break out immediately, the vast majority dont. drafting them AT THEIR CEILING misses the entire fucking point entirely.
if you drafted:
>jeanty in the first

yeah, maybe it works out but its pointlessly risky considering the other guys you can take in the same range, who you KNOW can deliver at the nfl level. if he falls to round 2, then sure he's worth the risk. maybe in a standard league where RBs are worth more, and youre at the very end of round 1, he's worth the risk. but no one fucking plays standard in current year anyway.

one or both of the rookie TE is going to mega bust, give me njoku instead, colts and bears players are completely off my board. I think jeanty will finish within a few spots of his RB4 draft cost similiar to Bijan's rookie season. Hampton is going to bust if he actually has to split with fat and slow najee, the only reason he went from the top of 5 to 3 was people assuming najee was DONE. Henderson will be fine in ppr leagues, the pats will not be able to take him off the field. Avoiding Kaleb Johnson, the steelers will be bottom 5 in offensive snaps and im not sure he will ever get more than a 60% snapshare without an injury. Someone is going to have to explain the Tet hype to me, everyone hates the panthers sitation and young is going near the dregs of the QB position. Travis hunter is still a good WR prospect in the Liam Coen slot role, he should be fed points. I understand the Golden hype with nearly every packers WR hurt. Egbuka is too high now, you pretty much have to hope Godwin is done in the NFL. I dont see the point in drafting a rookie when you want them for upside in the last half of the season but with the possibility of all their value being washed away if godwin still has it. JCM is fine if you draft him after pretty much all the starting RB are gone, at that point swing for upside, Rodriguez was cut multiple times last season I dont get his hype over JCM.
Very wierd summer for fantasy, I dont think ive ever seen all the analysts so consensus on ADP.

Ekeler was good last year on a ~50% snap share. Even if that dips a bit it still only leaves maybe 60% for the other guys. not really. he's going around 85 overall near guys like dobbins, etienne, kaleb johnson, charb, and b.rob who are themselves all either handcuffs or in ambiguous backfields. the clear lead backs are pretty much gone two rounds earlier. and ekeler was getting <10 touches per game last year. his snap share was only about 35%

It depends where you're drafting but Ive seen him go in the 6th/7th round in best ball around guys like Pollard and Jones which seems insane to me. I have him ranked as a 10+ rounder behind most of the guys you mentioned, in a tier with ekeler, braelon allen, tyler allgeier, benson, tuten, sampson etc. Im just not buying into paying a premium for hype that's influenced by people being excited they got him for free earlier in the summer. Also your 35% number includes games Ek missed due to injury, the number I saw was 53% in games he played and he was a consistent producer in those games.

Chuba guy thinks Jaylen Warren is too slight and will never be a 3-down back (He's right), thus Kaleb Johnson will step straight into the volume role of Najee (doubtful, there will most likely be a committee).
Guy who left thinks Kaleb Johnson will never be RB1 because Warren just got an extension and he's the bestest rb since Derrick Henry Kenneth Gainwell is "better than advertised" according to local Pittsburgh beat writers. Meanwhile, he believes that Chuba will cede literally 0 touches to Dowdle and Sanders
Most retarded discourse I've seen since we started the league 7 years ago

That is a DOGSHIT trade, and I'd be suspicious seeing it myself.
HOWEVER, if he can't prove collusion then you are right - he needs to suck it up as they aren't his players to trade. Provable collusion is the only reason to ever veto a trade. Manage your own team not anybody else's.

in a perfect world i'd agree, but in reality proving collusion is impossible. it's not like you can subpoena their text messages. ridiculously lopsided trades (which to be clear the one discussed above is not) should be vetoable. and if two people are actually *proven* to be colluding, the punishment should be loss of opportunity to win pot money and not being invited back next year. at that point, they can keep the players for all i care

Mahomes was also a pretty gay pick but it's not like the Chiefs are done being the Chiefs despite everyone wanting that to be the case.
The year after Mahomes lost the superbowl to Tom he ended up QB4 in fantasy overall. This time around I just expect slightly above average performance from him.

Stick fairly close to whatever your draft site recommends you to draft since it is your first time. Sticking to the "Wisdom of Crowds" concept is probably a better choice than you just drafting whatever you will do at this point. But honestly this is just for fun, especially for your first shot at this, so just treat it as a learning experience and try to draft some players that you will enjoy keeping track of throughout the season (so long as you don't draft them way earlier than your draft site recommends)

He's trade bait. First game he has a decent performance I'm shipping him to one of the many delusional CFB fans in my league at a premium. I'm actually high on him overall just due to the draft capital Jacksonville put into him. You dont spend that much and not get your money's worth. He will be put into a position to be effective on offense which is all that matters. WRs are more valuable than CBs cause good WRs make CBs irrelevant.

116 targets, 62 receptions, 885 yards, 8 TDs
108 targets, 66 receptions, 992 yards, 5 TDs
And for shit's and giggles, this is DK's rookie year

What a fundamental misunderstanding of fantasy football. Pop quiz, when is WR more important: 2WR or 3WR? Are top QBs more important in normal or in superflex? When is TE more important, 8 man or 14 man? Enjoy being degraded at every other starting slot on your roster because you reached a round early to get +4 points per week at TE. That's how you end up with an RB1/RB2 like RJ Harvey/Aaron Jones in a fucking 10 man league. BALL KNOWER ALERT!!!!!!

Pollard is RB1 with no competition but heโs with a rookie QB going against the Broncos. Egbuka is super talented with a good QB and only Evans ahead of him. But itโs his first game and if Evans is still elite it could eat into his share. Itโs a coin flip to me, go with your gut

So with what you're saying about the actual team it all is going to amalgamate into great points all year long, and then when rice is back its over.

Yeah I went WR, TE, RB, QB in the first four rounds so I had to play catchup all draft to salvage at least another okay RB, all the good ones taken.
>mahomes in the 4th
I didn't want to do it but there was a run on QB's on the backswing of round 3 and and I think all teams but three had drafted a QB by then so it had to be done.
What RB you think could be good trade bait? I was thinking maybe I try and trade away an RB for the backup to Warren, Jones, or Stevenson which then guarantees me a reliable safety net

drafting a QB right after a huge run on QB is literally the worst thing you could do. you get a shitty value pick that you couldve just waited on especially since most of the league already got their guy and wont be drafting another one until much later. QB runs make people fall in the draft
Our draft is tonight and my commissioner is holding a vote for 2 last minute changes. Im against both.
1. Increase qb td points from 4 points per td to 6 points per td.
2. Increase int penalty from -1 to -2 points.
What do you guys think? I feel like that would over value qbs and make them absolutely insane. A qb could throw 3 tds and rush for 1 too. That's 24 points right there not including passing yards or rushing yards. Plus it'll cause a massive qb run early on which i hate the thought of. Any other arguments I can use against it? Or do you guys like those changes?
>>150563584
Vote no on 1 and yes on 2. A 3 TD 2 INT outing would put a QB at 8 points before yardage which is fair. What's the point per passing yard? Also is it full, half, or no ppr?

1 is mondo gay
2 is legit, though if you really are against it you should propose a -1 for a pick 6. Usually a QB throws a pick 6 with a standard -1 or -2 they can get that back literally the next drive, which they're about to get anyway because they threw a pick 6.

my league uses both and I hated it at first but now I think theyre both good changes. DEI running qbs shouldnt be worth such a premium. a TD is a TD, just like it is IRL. and if your league mates are smart it should have the OPPOSITE effect on the draft, since theres more potentially elite QBs theres less need to take lamar/josh/hurts/jayden early. trust me with this scoring it makes a lot more sense to wait until like round 10 and take a dak prescott.

daily reminder if your league uses normal waivers (not faab) its actually better to lose week 1 with as little points as possible so you get first dibs on the waiver wire. Im considering taking Justin Fields as a late round flier. Just in case. After I get a starting qb obviously. I dont trust Fields I just want to see if there's any chance of a sleeper

I kind of like getting one of the last picks in the draft. 10th in 10 team is fine. You get 2 picks in a row.

Will loveland actually get that many targets? I feel like i would be walking into a bust if i start him early in the season

Whos more likely to step up and fill in as wr1 on the chiefs during rice suspension? Xavier worthy or Marquise Brown? Maybe even juju has a comeback year. Ppr.

Itโs Worthy and itโs not even close.
Should I start Tet Mac or Egbuka in Flex? They seem so similar Iโm having a hard time picking one

Full PPR.
My WR depth is atrocious. Drop Jacory Croskey-Merritt for any of the following?:
Jayden Reed
Darnell Mooney
Keenan Allen
Rashod Bateman
Marvin Mims Jr.
Adam Thielen
Cedric Tillman
Hollywood Brown
Wan'Dale Robinson
Xavier Legette
Or just hold on to Bill right now? Cheers fellas.

14 teams, those were picks 27 and 30.
They were the top of the list left for WR and RB.

Hold on to Bill. You've got to have someone better to drop, and if you do it's Mims > Mooney > Brown. The rest are fodder.

Standard: Tet. Higher chance of a TD, main threat on offense and should get a ton of looks.
PPR: Egbuka. More likely to get easy slot looks on a pass happy offense.

Last pick in a 10 man league is unironically optimal, you can easily get 2 top 10 players to start your draft.

Thanks man. I'm changing my plan and gonna try to package out Tyrone Tracy and maybe Bill or someone else for Metcalf (he has Cam Skattebo and horrible RB depth).
My WR depth is horrible so I really gotta get another solid WR.

it's not that i think "last pick = worst pick" unilaterally (i actually usually prefer 7 or 8), but having done a ton of mocks i do think it's the worst draft position in 10 man this year. the 2/3 turn and the 6/7 turn are juiced and you don't get to participate in either of them, and the 3/4 sucks: RBs are hampton and cook, WRs are the WR2 lottery, probably missed out on allen+jackson and bowers+mcbride, etc.
