Brady's last year in New England went to shit because of years of failure at acquiring any viable skill position players. Once Edelman began to struggle with injuries there was literally no one even average to throw to. Don't believe me? Here's the entire list outside of Edelman
Wide receivers
>Braxton Berrios
>Ryan Davis
>Phillip Dorsett
>Maurice Harris
>N'Keal Harry
>Dontrelle Inman
>Jakobi Meyers
>Gunner Olszewski
>Damoun Patterson
>Matthew Slater
>Demaryius Thomas (washed version, played zero games)
Tight ends
>Stephen Anderson
>Andrew Beck
>Ryan Izzo
>Matt LaCosse
>Lance Kendricks
>Benjamin Watson (38 year old version, had been retired for a year)
That's a pile of fucking shit. And They still won the division . People wanted to act like age had just caught up to Brady but any qb at any age underwhelms with that roster. And Brady proved he wasn't the problem because as soon as he had a receiving corps again he put up MVP numbers and won another super bowl.
And in his final season in Tampa he was 45. Think about how old Aaron Rodgers seems now and realize Brady was 4 years older than that. And he still had 4500 yards and 25 touchdowns. That's not even bad, just below normal Brady standards
