Crawford has never been a puncher, but an accumulative puncher. This worked well for him, but at 168 the added muscle will slow him down and make his shots less effective. He will not be able to bang with Canelo in the pocket and he will not be able to exit the pocket easily without being hit. His best bet is to stay on the outside with his jab and counter Canelo who will be on the front foot. If he can successfully counter Canelo more than Canelo tags him, he can win the fight. Crawford will win this fight with his jab from long range. He'll start the fight switching stances to confuse canelo, and jab canelos face as he lunges in with his hooks and uppercuts. After about 4 rounds, Canelo will become visibly frustrated and his face marked up. Crawford will continue taking small steps back to counter and start digging to the body. By round 8 or 9 Canelo will need a KO to win and will probably go for it but this will only get him hurt worse. The stance switching, the clean counters all night will make him hesitant and gunshy.
