I live in such a country. While I'm against the measure, everyone understands the reasoning, as chileans are chimps while sober but 999 times as chimp when drunk. There was a lot of destruction and violence when alcohol was allowed at stadiums.

People in here do get shitfaced outside as well, banning alcohol didn't fix the problem but just slightly alleviate it. It is still such an issue that any measures to control the damage are considered valid.
I think a lot of people do drugs as well but it's mostly alcohol that triggers this conduct.

What social drugs are there in Chile outside of cocaine? If I go to the stadium I take speed because it makes me sociable without being a dick like coke does. Especially away days because you're stuck on a bus for hours and need the endurance. But I gather coke makes people chimp out more.

We banned alcohol in the first division games, but not on the lower leagues.

Last time I was at Croke Park you were allowed to get a drink but they didn't let you bring it to your seat, you had to drink it in ten minutes or else you'd miss the match. Then during the match you need to piss. Mega cringe. Either let us drink while watching the match or fuck off.
