For starters the current Champs are a run first team that dominates in the trenches, not a pass first team with a gunslinger at QB. Secondly QB is such a hard position that there isn't even 32 starting caliber QBs in the world let alone 64. And old NFL saying is "if you have 2 qbs you have none"
Now for the Xs and Os. The QB can't throw the ball if he can't stand inside the pocket long enough for a play to develop. A RB keeps a defensive line honest so they can't just peel their ears back and rush the QB, they have to maintain gap integrity. The RB can also double as a 6th offensive lineman who can pick up blitzing defenders or as a 3rd/4th receiver who can give the QB a checkdown if players further up the field are covered.
Lastly football is a bloodsport, and being able to physically punish your opponents is a key. You have to be able to run the football so you can wear down a defense. Nothing is more demoralizing to a defensive than not being able to stop the run. Running the ball allows you to control the clock and keep your defense off the field and teams that can run the ball can win any game.
