And yet Martinelli has also scored in those situations. Against the likes of Allison and Courtois even.
Look, I'm not saying Madueke is a bad player. At all. I'm actually so fucking glad >we got him, even if I wholeheartedly disagree on the price, because Saka died 2 seconds into the season and >we've needed a second choice for 2 seasons straight now. oh btw, my hot take is that mosquera is better than saliba and will be rated like that soon

Awesome performance and result considering the best defender, best attacker, the club captain and last seasons top scorer were all out and we had to utilise the squad which is strong, but has lot of new players still adjusting.
Eze will have his breakthrough moment eventually (maybe against city), mosquera was solid, madueke was solid, hincapie looked solid and aggressive, norgaard had a couple of good moments in the short time he played and zubimendi was tidy 98% of the game.

just another testament to my superior ball knowledge when i kept shilling him even during his bad form/injuries.
also the ref was such a donkey dog, he gave these basque cunts everything, only the eze tackle was missed by him but they should of had 2 yellows at least.
gyochad was really unlucky honestly, his headers were just not hit how he wanted and it went a bit wide.

There's something about Arsenal that simply attracts minorities, and I don't just think it's because of ethnic role models, all teams have black players. Arsenal down the years have been more iconic than most though with the likes of Ian Wright and Thierry Henry but I think it's more to do with the culture of Arsenal.
Most of the other London clubs are more tribal, Arsenal have always been generic and have always in my time watching football had the most lifeless, passionless fans in English football, even in the height of football passion in the late 80's they were winning the odd title and it still got the name the Highbury library. This made Arsenal an attractive proposition for Indian, black and muslim supporters because of the nature of the club, the placid way of the support, and the upper class profile of the fanbase comparatively speaking, I mean for fuck sake could you imagine someone with a turban sitting in the Chicken Run at West Ham in the late 80's?
It's the nature of the club that is the reason for this, and now 90% of ethnics support Arsenal which is why I would suggest that they have double the fanbase of anyone else in London.

I like Frank but I have watched most of the Tottenham games and I honestly have to say they got away with it in their last two games. Even after their first goal vs the Hammers they were torn open quite a bit before the red card and yesterday it was the same with the difference that they should have had one or even two red cards.
Still early days for Frank but the same Spursy core is still there and will be his undoing eventually.
now that the game is done, lets be real for a second here, that finish from gabi was subpar, straight into the keeper, he even got a slight hold of it but it went past him.
could've easily kept off goal if there was a decent GK between the sticks.

It was a great place to shoot. Not too close for the goalkeeper to stick out the leg but not too far out so that the goalkeeper could reach it in time with his hands. Basically the same as hitting it between the glove and helm of a hockey goalkeeper.
Are you new to football? Do you complain when someone hits it straight at a keeper/player and through the legs as well?

And don’t get me started on Arteta basically killing off Timber too because White is a permacrock now (thanks to overplaying through injuries, just like Saka,Ode and Kai).

Nah, as a keeper those shots are really fucking hard to stop. Low and hard from that range is killer. If he was closer the keeper starts off lower and is probably able to sweep with his leg. If he's farther away he's able to dive down quickly enough to smother it. The distance is just right for that shot to go through him. It's a good shot choice under those circumstances.

i know what you're saying completely, i just don't believe martinelli made all those calculations in the matter of 1-2seconds in front of the keeper and decided to aim it in that perfect spot where it's not blockable by his leg and not far enough for him to go down and catch it with his hand, specially when he was going like 100 mph and a defender was basically right behind him.
that's why a good finisher, like mbappe for example, he's always going wide or when he spots the keeper not covering the tight angle he goes for that iconic near post finish.
and i may be theory crafting so much here, but if this shot was against some GK that likes to sweep and make himself big, like dibu, he'd probably save it.
anyway, let's just focus on raping the other club of manchester cause one loss this early in the season is already too much for me.

nah, I said it before, they look worse as a team overall than they did last year. Their attacking depth is great IF their new signings hit the ground running but defense and midfield wise they are quite on the light side and even when everyone is fully fit they have a tendency to concede quite a few goals and by every metric you can’t rely on late goals twice a week, we saw that first hand a couple of seasons ago.

I reckon we'll end up with a back 3.
Now we just need to find a way to consistently score 3 goals per game.
