I think, unfortunately, Zach Merrett and Jy Simpkin are setting a very bad precedent for our league. If those two trades are allowed to happen, then the taboo around captains breaking contracts will be lifted and club loyalty will slowly be eroded.

We had a society where a good and reliable tenant was valued but that's over because if the tenant goes there is an endless stream of new migrants to replace them and the competition is so fierce they can like charge more than they were charging the previous tenant with a raise that has to be proportional to what they were previously paying.
