1. I see a Los Angeles team that is curious what a Luka lead Lakers sans LeBron looks like. It's possible LeBron doesn't play until late November/early December. If he doesn't, and the Lakers go, say, 15-5, the FO knows they can go .750 with Luka leading the charge minus a max cap space player. This bodes well for the future. 3. Ayton is the wildcard. If he shows interest on defense and is locked into playing basketball; if he is interested in being an NBA player and not the idea of being an NBA player, the Lakers can reach the Finals. It's up to him. He's the difference maker on this Lakers roster barring some major trade or player swap in FA.
