I don't know why anyone ever doubted Tuchel. One of the best tacticians in the world. He walked all over Pep's City in that CL final despite having a lesser team on paper. His problem has always been that he sucks at interpersonal relationships and always ends up losing the dressing room or fighting with the board because he's so conflictive, but in a national team there's less room for friction. His overbearing approach may even help to bring the best out of the players when he only sees them a few days per year. It also helps he doesn't make the team kneel to worship blacks before every match. That was killing England's mentality from the start. You can't win a competitive game if first thing you do is kneeling to the opposition.
