Fm22 was the one where they finally added multicore cpu support. So if you have a decent enough cpu (i5 made within the past 5 years) and 16gb of ram, you can load as much as you want.

Fm26 seems to be OK on that front (I don't have it) but the UI is sluggish and slow to respond.

Almost anything is theoretically possible if you want to play with the db editor. The "after a few years" part of your first request isn't doable afaik, because the russian ban is hardcoded and not a db change (but can be gotten around by completely replacing russia with the old USSR nationality in the db, and then renaming it and shifting assets as necessary)

Yeah, it's been reputation manager for years. Thankfully the player interactions aren't very good so it's actually very easy to keep top players in smaller leagues if you have the money for their contracts.
The way I always did it - I always kept very long contracts at all times on my players that I didn't want to sell. When someone gets wanted status from psg or whatever and gets unhappy that I don't sell them - just bench them until the interest disappears, which happens after 2-6 months usually. Psg no longer wants the player, he loses his unhappy status and I offer him a 5 year long contract again.
Repeat when PSG appears once more. But it works best if you already have a good status as a manager in the club, which you most likely will after 2/3 promotions and winning the main league. So you won't lose your dressing room straight away, or ever.

on fm 20 i noticed man marking PIs and OIs worked too well so i ended up with two very ridiculous tactics.
A 4-4-2 that would turn into a 6-3-1 in defence(the wingers marking the op wingers and one of the strikes marking either the dm or the playmaking one in a dm/cm duo) which worked very well because the ai would try again and again and again to play wide and they'd fail and try again and pass back and try again.

I dont have screenshots and i dont want to install fm20 to check the savefiles again so i described the tactics as thoroughly as i could. They're mad tactics that took advantage of man marking being a very strong player instruction when coupled with opposition instructions so much that my midfield wingers were tracking and pressing the opposing wingers to the goal line.
The team shape was 4-4-2 on paper and in attack but in defense the wingers dropped down to basically a second set of fullbacks and one of the strikers dropped down into midfield, making the shape a 6-3-1.

The team tactic was to park the bus, play as deep as possible, clog the center and force the opposing team to go wide and cross it in, where we had the aerial superiority. I also had Brazil's third choice GK behind prime Alisson and Edison in goal.
