Who on earth is the third flag supposed to represent, anyway? Ohtani and Vlad, sure, but everyone else who I think you could argue as the third best player is either Japanese (Yamamoto and Sasaki in his new closer role) or American (Springer, Betts, Will Smith, Glasnow, Snell, Ernie Clement, Gausmann, Bassit). Are they claiming Freddie as Canadian or that Teoscar is the second best? Kirk's Mexican, Giminez is Venezuelan - who is the third supposed to be?

Also for what it's worth neither kirk nor giminez- have been the next best players for the Jays this post season. Vlady is posting up historic numbers but next best has honestly been Ernie Clement. He's batting something insane like .440 in the post season. After that springer, Lukes and Barger have all been better

Where are they playing? It's not Japan or the Caribbean. When professional baseball began in the 1870s, there were players that had been born in England, Ireland and Germany.
Baseball will always be American no matter where they play it or who plays here.

Yeah, but they're the only other non-Americans worth mentioning, which was relevant to the op image, except there isn't a Venezuelan or Mexican flag there. Clement and Springer were mentioned in my post and Lukes and Barger are both also American. The only bonafide Canadian I can think off went home after the ALCS game seven.
