You wanna bet World Series 2026 will be a Dodger's Jays rematch? Both teams have superstar players on very long term contracts, both teams have very well built teams around those players (except for that stanky LA bullpen and Brendon fucking Little), both have massive fanbases that will fund the team. Drake vs Kendrick was just a precursor, Canadians fucking hate LA now.

WBC 2023 and the 2025 season are proof that this is no longer America's sport. Season started in Japan, ends in Canada.

Game 6 is Halloween in the 6ix. I wanna see Yamamoto wheeled out to the mound Hannibal Lecter style with a straight jacket and a mask. And then Vladdy stepping up to the plate dressed as Batman.

I'm still pretty new to baseball, but it still wouldn't surprise me if 5 Blue Jays players ran into each other all getting injured and don't score another run rest of the series, like I'm going to rewatch game 5 and John Schneiders going to take Yesavage out of the game in the 3rd inning for throwing 3 straight balls or something...that moments still coming right?

fun fact: the most successful baseball team in brazil is called nippon blue jays because it's founder was a former jays player and most of the players/fans are japanese-brazilians

owners want to implement a salary cap and players are willing to forego the 2027 season in order to prevent it. They're using the Dodgers' spending as justification for a cap, but the Jays beating them is proving the cap is unnecessary.

No idea, the wise thing to do would be to invest in better coaching. They're now hamstrung by all the big contracts they have that they can't move away from

while Jay's win would prove salary cap isn't necessary, that wouldn't necessarily stop the owners from implementing a salary cap. they would be less justified in doing so, but could still do so anyway. (and possibly even less so justified from secondary revenue streams from the gambling industry boom. (https://thesportseconomist.com/sports-betting-boosts-mlb-revenue/) )

lockout inevitable

but ultimately gg Blue Jays

Kyle Tucker most likely, there's speculation they might go after Skubal if the Tigers want to trade him.

Honestly this, their approach has been horrific since Ohtani's last homerun. They need some sort of shakeup in the offseason.
