What went wrong with this board and football? Back in the day, if Benfica had zero points in the champions league, people would either mock them or be shocked at it; in any case, they would give it attention, because Benfica was not expected to be a team to have zero points in the Champions League. Now, nobody gives a fuck. And you know why? Because people only care about Premier League, the Spanish big three, PSG, Bayern, Juventus, the Milan teams and whoever won serie a last season. Perhaps Dortmund. Nothing else is football for /sp/. And I don't blame them, most other teams are completely shit. But still, Benfica is a historical big team. Sure, they have now a worse team than Brentford, but they are bigger than Brentford and deserve more attention. But perhaps the people are right. European Super League is the answer and it should be locked with the teams I mentioned. No need to keep trying if nobody respects you enough to mock you when you're down.

Btw, despite a good champions last year, at home Benfica only won one game against Atletico. Since then we just lose almost every time, like 7 losses in the champions(i am not counting the qualifiers)
Thats ridiculous. But i also blame the supporters because Benfica today is a club of clients. The same people go to the stadium for years. At the minimum miss(could be a fucking bad passing), they bash the team in the middle of the match. That isnt support, that doesnt help the team at all.
