Compression anon from 2021 here. I compressed the 400 GB Panteo pack into 5GB (still watchable) back in the day. One anon requested I do the same for the American Gun Institute, so I obliged.
Now that I see there's another Panteao pack, I'm doing the same.

Every 540p+ files has been reduced to 540p to keep the file sizes low. While the Panteao 1 and the AGI videos are in HEVC/x265 format, these Panteao 2 videos are in AV1 (av one) format. You'll need to update your VLC player if it doesn't play these videos. Here's the file list:

I don't remember the early x265 settings, but they were slow preset, 3 pass with bunch of high GOP and aq-motion.
High GOP ensures that the encoder doesn't spend the full bitrate for scene cuts and aq-motion omits most of the still data that's in the background. When the wind blows, encoder spends the full bitrate for those areas so the rest of the content suffers as you can notice.

As for the new stuff, here's my av1 setting for NotEnoughAV1Encodes app with FFMPEG SVT-AV1 as chosen encoder for general use, (I don't remeber the qp setting for panteao encodes).

"-pix_fmt yuv420p10le -strict -1 -c:v libsvtav1 -rc 0 -qp 26 -preset 8 -tile_columns 1 -tile_rows 0 -g -1 -la_depth 120 -svtav1-params aq-mode=2:film-grain=0:film-grain-denoise=1:fast-decode=1:scd=1:enable-overlays=1:enable-restoration=1"

Notice the -qp26, the lower it is, the better the video look albeit consuming space. -qp50 will look like shit, but the video will be small.

i know it's an animated gif, but still helpful.

if you put a magazine in, you have to pull the slide back to pull the first round into the chamber.

if you eject the magazine without shooting the chambered round, it will stay in the chamber. a lot of people have died because of this.

watch a couple of gun safety videos on youtube. it's also helpful to watch a video of someone disassembling it (either to demonstrate or clean) also.

guns are actually pretty simple, most people are just intimidated by them and think they are more complex than they actually are.
