I have been screwing around trying to get calibre to scrub the drm off Caissa (the last book in the Red Gambit series) by Colin Gee but Amazorn wont budge and that retarded old codger of an author wont sell it anyplace else easier, i can read it on my kindle, i want it for free on z lib because fuck Amazon. If someone will upload it, i will be thankful and smug for a very long time

Found out how to do it. There's a Chrome extension that can gather data whenever a page is rendered in perlego. I've downloaded autohotkey to slowly scroll to the end of the book, and it saves the whole book as an html file. There's some retarded rendering thing in it though, and when I opened the html, it ate 10GB of my RAM before crashing, so I split it up the html into 50 page chunks with Python. Then you can use ctrl+P to print into pdf.
Just FYI if anyone wants to save something. Also bump I guess.

I find it just the opposite. My ipad gives me eyestrain after an hour or so, especially at night. but I can read my Scribe all day with no issues. I use the ipad for color magazine browsing, but I find eink to be better for long term text reading. I had a Kobo Forma that was a great reader, but it died and they discontinued it for some reason, so I tried the Scribe's larger form factor, it's great.

I understand you didn't make it and it looks like (based on the original reddit submission) he had a public-facing calibre-web server which I assume would have allowed for downloading individual books, but only being able to access it as a single 860GB blob sucks ass. Crossroad Press finally re-release most of his book about 3 years ago, with good formatting that looked professional and uniform across all books.
