Are the main things. If full disc rips without additional encoding aren't available then rencodes would be better then nothing, though I've found a few places that already have those I believe

IIRC you mentioned a downsample of one of the 4k releases down to 1080p, i'd be interested in that too

Now, I'm going to upload both the remux and the full disc of the Criterion Gojira 1954 UHD. If you really want to have the full disc in your collection you can download it but I'd highly suggest getting the remux since it has superior audio alongside the Criterion source. According to what the remuxer says the Criterion is actually superior to the Japanese UHD BD that encode I talked about earlier came from, so it's probably not worth it to bother with that source.

Notes from the same remuxer as the other disc about this one. In this case Criterion has the best video and audio, they just put the 4.0 audio in a 5.1 container as he says. Since you are interested in full discs you will probably be fine keeping that one. There's also a bit of a lament about private tracker staff not making the best decisions about which file to keep and which to delete. While private trackers and their autistic userbase are the best source the mods do fuck things up sometimes. I believe he is talking about PTP because that's where he posts. HDB is better about reversing bad decisions.

I'm checking for availability of other releases as Japanese UHD discs. But in these cases I will post remuxes instead of the full discs. The actual discs do not come with English subs so it's not really worth it to post the full disc. I'm sure you already understand remux = untouched non reencoded video from thee original disc put in a mkv container. Posting these instead means we have English subs synced to the Japanese sources.

Remuxer notes:
This is another SDR release using BT.2020 Color Primaries in case anyone, like me, is confused.
The English subtitles and commentary tracks have been taken from the Japanese 60th Anniversary
blu-ray release and have been synced as good as posssible. Mind that this new UHD master is
15 seconds longer than the previous master and a perfect sync thus isn't possible.
The chapters have been taken from the Criterion Collection blu-ray release and synced perfectly by hand.

While the audio states it's 5.1 it's actually just the 4.0 track packed as 5.1,
leaving the LFE channel empty and the two back channels identical. The audio from the Criterion
disc would have been better, but it's impossible to properly sync it with this release.

Nothing noted with this one except that English subs are synced.

I can confidently say this request is filled. Not all of the Showa era has been released on UHD in Japan yet. There are more releases planned for this year:

Does anyone know if the Gamera: The Complete Collection that was released by Arrow Video was ever ripped?

Most of those were probably ripped from other releases. I've read that the old Neptune Media dub release of Giant Monster Gamera is included in the set, which hasn't seen distribution since the days of VHS, and I don't think it's available anywhere else.

The original, the American localization (Gammera the Invincible) and the infamous Sandy Frank dub are all easily findable, but the alleged Neptune version is really elusive.

I want bluray quality showa Godzilla movies but with the Titra dubbing. Titra destroyed the lazy ass dubs Sony released for the Heisei and a few showas.
