Honestly, the last seasons are way more pleasant to watch than the first.
The special effects, the acting, the plots, it's crapy and cheap in the first season. Like just the first episode of season one, just have a look at the bad special effect for the wierd intelligence controling the plastic. And all those wierd mannequin moving like a parody of robots, the plot where the Doctor is saved by Rose just kicking the manequin, who just happenend to stay still with the vial of antiplastic during 10 fucking minutes right next to the hole.
It's so fucking bad, I think I liked it just cause they were not a lot of SF shows at the time. But if that shit was released today, I would not watch passed the first episode, I'm not even sure I would have watched it completly.
It's really bad man. You're just bling by your nostalgia and your hatred of seeing anything "woke" in your shows (even though it was woke from the beginning, may I remind you about Captain Jack hartness, in season 1, openly bi, and that the show was created in the 60's by Verity Lambert, first female producer in the BBC and directed by Warus Hussein, a gay man from India ? Woke from the very start).
So yeah, it's quite good now. The special effects, costums and picture is better, the plots are more interresting and the acting is better. Not as good as other SF showsn but still better than the first seasons.
