There is no depth to this content. It's the ultimate bottom of the barrel garbage. Sam has become the man he used to hate, or maybe he always was. EP2 is all overedited garbage, and the graphics suck. It's like a bunch of pillhead wiggers watched WP1 and assumed they knew what made the graphics good.

I'm glad the Rhode Island boys get to ride again, and there are some good parts of Extreme Peace so far, the pacing of the third episode is more what it should be like with the production available to them. However, the champagne has definitely lost some of its pop, the show does not carry World Peace's mantle as dynamite social/political commentary (to be expected somewhat as Sam and Nick are hitting 40), and the recurring MDE programs in their current configuration don't hold the same entertainment to carry fans until the next full-budget production: Fishtank is straight zoomzoom garbage, The Sam Hyde Show is spouting the same old commentary on the same doomer topics that have been covered for the past 5-7 years and is also a lame attempt to reel in the new generation of Dear Elon doomer larpers with the call in thing, and Perfect Guy Life is like a bunch of your childhood friends coming over too constantly and running out of interesting shit to say.

I am seriously wondering whether MDE will be a shadow of its former self if it ever makes it into the mainstream, like its creators seem to be aspiring to.

Been watching them for 12 years, this is the worst shit they ever released.

They tried to dunk on the Craigslist perverts, but failed so badly that they ended up being the ones who got dunked on.

you can really see the quality decline in a few years, sams obsesion with cameras yields an image quality similar to the dreaded red camera, the shot composition is ok ish, ruses work looks a lot more thought through, the shot timing and pacing is strange, as if it was edited by a person with adhd.

I think besides Schultz being shit, it's also because of how long the sketches are. Being constrained to 11 minutes per episode in WP meant that sketches had to be over far quicker. The Nick and Charles breakup sketches in WP were about a minute, and it had a start, middle and end. It's shocking how much Sam talks about quality and design and upholding excellence in the PGL episodes. I literally just started watching the new one and he's talking about how much indie game slop there is and the people making them should 'do better'.
