I tried the onion site but can't get it to work.

What even happens if your searched directs you to the fbi anyway? If you don't use a VPN and/or don't live outside countries like the US, I doubt it would mean anything.

Is pretty common for those sites, I first saw it like 15 years ago when people started making megaupload searching websites, my guess is that people who own those websites get paid through ads and they don't want that disrupted so they themselves add all that fbi crap to scare people from posting anything illegal, one of the ones they use a lot to scare people away is an image of the fbi seal and a message like "your IP has registered and sent to the authorities" or something like that
